The ROOM...A Christian BrainStorming (((( Thread )))) Current Events...

We all know this is a psy-op, so whatever they do is for some purpose. For example, the payment thing... the "nag" for non-payers and IP ("isn't paying") bans are designed to annoy people into parting with money; it's a negative incentive. Likewise with karma; they want to condition us not to complain about injustices and double standards, hence the threat I received and taking away O4A's green.

Granted, there are some nice mods here. But there isn't much they can do about the other ones.

I feel like I'm here for a reason. We Christians generate a lot of activity here and are a blessing to the owners, imho. I don't think they would be too happy to find out some evil volunteer is slowing down their investment! For them [the owner/s] it is about money. For me, it is about moving the next person from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light.

Again I say, Christians, we should support one another with all of the green we can to glorify the Lord Jesus.

It's not impossible, just difficult and not for the easily offended.

Over the last 3 years I've helped 2 people that I know of come to Christ via this forum. Both are doing incredibly well in the Lord.

These are the 2 that I know of, and I'm sure countless thousands have been touched and seeds planted via the many witnessing threads for the Lord over the years here on this forum.

I'm grateful for this platform that has resulted in bearing fruit for God. This isn't a place to please ourselves, it's a place to help gather lost souls, even just one. Many thousands here need help and are searching for answers.

Who will do it? Who is willing to be cursed, spit on, abused, slandered for the sake of Christ? "I will do it Lord, send me!" Let's all be of that mind of Christ.

It's not a perfect place, but no place is perfect on this planet earth.

This forum isn't for everyone, but God sent me here and I'm stayin till He says I'm done here.

Yes, agree. But at the same time, it might be a good idea to have a place we can at least communicate and meet up, or talk about things among ourselves that we can't do here.

So anyway, O4A, maybe call your green something less obvious?

Lisa, you made some good points, but we as believers need to stick together. Remember, a house that is divided will not stand.

I totally sympathize with you and I understand your frustration. I believe that GLP is a microcosm of the world we now live in and it is getting darker.
It's no longer a 'free' country and we need to prepare our hearts .The battle is in the Spirit ..Jesus is in control and will work all things together for good for we Love Him.

Ok, if that's the rules, then that's the rules. We are a guest in someone elses house and have to play by their rules. This is not a conspiracy.

This also isn't a christian forum, so let's keep that in mind and remember the reason we are here, to reach others.

I agree with you O4A. If it's true that this was about your karma being erased in everyone's profile, all I can say is WOW. If this were me or anyone else here in the ROOM, I would want my fellow brothers & sisters to rally for me.

All you do is post a karma for the glory of Jesus!! There's NOTHING wrong with that!

I'm sorry that this happened to you O4A. THIS^^ couldn't be more true. God has led us here one by one for a perfect reason, His perfect reason. We have been given a job to do. Sometimes, it doesn't feel like one but yes, there are days that it does feel that way. Anyway, we are all here for a purpose, that is for certain.

I'm a paying member and that is important too. I don't want to get into the ABUSE in this forum...I will only get angry about it. I don't dwell on it because I know it will distract me from what we are here to do.

That being said, I am blessed to be here. If this forum should cut us all out tomorrow, I hope they give us a warning at least. Other than that, I too am grateful that we get to post too. They don't have to take our money but we should be treated like any other paying member. Period.

Lisa, I can see you didn't read that thread. The mod said, that it wasn't a rule, that Once4all was giving good karma to other Christians just so they could pin more Christian threads. To me, that sounds like a lame excuse if I ever heard one.

Yes, important point: we haven't been sticking together. I get as much flack from Christians as non-Christians, over secondary points of theology such as the Rapture or eternal hell. And many of them can't disagree with civility; what kind of witness is that? Yet merely to point this out can get a person more abuse from fellow believers, and then we all just point fingers at each other. My way of dealing with that sort of thing from fellow believers is sometimes to put them on my ignore list so it won't get worse, but then that earns me more flack.

As for free speech, one of the hallmarks is the right to complain. Self-censorship is what Satan wants us to do; it's that negative conditioning I mentioned before.

I wouldn't expect any warning though, to be honest. We can be banned at any moment for any or no reason. And I'll never pay for that (I've seen enough people report elsewhere that paying does not grant ban immunity).

Agree. What kind of home makes you pay to even look in the windows? Or lets some of the guests abuse other guests? And we're not supposed to complain??

I read SHR's message and I can understand a little from his point of view. Perhaps Once4All, if your karma message was changed each time so it pertains to the person individually, it might go through without any problems. Or perhaps if you just copy and pasted different Bible verses it probably wouldn't be a problem. I think they're focusing on the same karma message that has never changed. Personally, if I was a Mod, it wouldn't bother me, but apparently SHR is upset with it and he is the authority around here and so I would tread lightly. Like Lisa said, it's their forum, they make the rules, and we are the guests. Love you Once4ALL!

Be careful everyone! Do you remember "Watcher"? She was a paying member here and posted a lot of threads. She probably had easily over a thousand posts. She was well liked and popular but one disagreement with a Mod and she was gone! Permanently Banned! Sometimes you have to tippe-toe around here!

But we shouldn't have to. If all those ACs can run around posting hate and vulgarity, why should decent people have to tiptoe? We're being treated like criminals, like we should be ashamed of Christ. Just how I see it.

If that was a rule, then yes I would agree with you, but that was not a rule. If that mod thought that he was abusing the system than why not just warn Once4All instead of taking away all the karma that he gave out?

There is a general forum, and there is an upgraded members forum. If you are a paid member you can post in that forum. Its located right over the list of the pinned threads.

BDE has started a thread there in regards to this.

Yes I remember her well. I almost got banned myself for starting threads in support of her. No sooner then I would post a new thread on her behalf they would delete it immediately

The complainers are free to leave anytime they want, this is not a prison and nobody is treating you like criminals.

This is also not a public place where you can claim "free speech".

This is a privately owned website, and if you don't like the rules, you can leave at any time and start your own forum or post on a christian only forum.

Honestly, I think this whole thing is ridiculous complaining about karma points........come on guys, we aren't 10 years old here. Seriously? Isn't there alot more serious issues to be discussing then this? Like the unsaved and current events or whatever? How does complaining bring glory to God?

If this were a free site, I don't think any of us would have much to say. We would have to grin and bear it...and know better next time.

Ten dollars a month may be nothing to some but there are others who wish they could pay every month. It's an investment in the long run. The mods know it too.

I do agree except for the fact that there is a concerted effort to delete certain topics that are by no means harmful.I was on a thread that had an urgent message /prophecy deleted by Acula in minutes.

When I questioned it...a new member ridiculed the post and said one of the mods deleted it for double posts!(it was the original post) It was far too contrived to be a spontaneous deletion.

The new poster had a similar karma list as far as ridiculing Christians and reported abusive posts. "Runestoner."

Yes, I saw the thread. Whether or not I agree or disagree with the admin doesn't matter because it's their site and they can do whatever they want with it.

The big picture I see is that they continue to let us post here, even if they don't agree with our religious beliefs.

They tolerate us.......bottom line.......and they don't have to.
