Hello, dear friend, We have all been there - imperfect, still battling with our sins, but made willing to conform to the image of Christ. We are not sinless, and cannot expect to act as such. It is just that each one of us that are true followers of Christ have the indwelling Spirit, and it is He who corrects us when wrong is done and reminds us who we are in Christ. Praise God for His Holy Spirit who lives in us and through us and reminds us of how we should always walk in His Spirit and not fulfill the desires of the flesh. The flesh is sinful and always desires to act in a sinful way. But we have Christ who lives in us and through HIS power, we are overcomers. We can pray, but we can also leave Bible tracts at the theatre or even pass out salvation literature to counteract the deception of the movie. Go to the movie with unsaved friends and when it's over, visit a Starbucks where you can discuss the movie and the TRUTH you believe while enjoying a delicious cup of coffee. The primary business of a Christian is not to be a soul winner, the Spirit of God does that, but we ARE called to give out the Word of God. I'll repeat that again, it is the business of the Holy Spirit to bring men to Christ, our business is to give out the Word of God so that it may counteract the word of the enemy. Guns, knives and other various weapons are effective in the physical realm, but not in the spiritual realm. It was early for me on a Sunday...7:22am exactly. My eyes just opened up like they would if I heard a noise or someone was standing nearby. I started to get anxious and had a bad gut feeling like something ominous was looming. I had a dream but it faded quickly when I woke up...just remember a scene in Times Square with people preparing for some kind of outdoor concert. I only remember the word BLIND and some group like The Beatles were going to appear. I was the only one awake so I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't do it. I started praying...rebuking whatever was there that made me feel so uneasy and almost scared. After what seemed like forever, I finally dozed off. Maybe it has to do with this terror alert and the concern for the Gulf lately...I don't know. Before I tried to post my latest thread, my husband and older son got sick earlier this past week. I had to deal with my younger son and basically just didn't have time to myself to breathe. It has been a rough summer so far. By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, I can only hope He will provide the strength we need to get through these times. Just putting this out there...let's see what this week brings. |
