True, but if you overlook the end of the shuttle program my remaining questions are:
1. Why did they just top off the ISS with a year's supply of grub?
2. Does this have anything to do with the recent email & video by NASA regarding preparedness?
3. Could this have anything to do with the plethora of recent rocket launches by multiple nations?

Yehp... this was all laid it fairly precisely with Sicksent and a few others last year... Still waiting for it to happen. Think about it in this way... Thousands of EMPs going off in our atmospherer every few minutes or so. We'd go back to the way things were 1800's.

OP if you worked for nasa you would be part of the family and you would be a secuirty breach if they just let you go.

Nasa dont lay anybody off for this very reason.

if they get rid of somone its with a fat pension or pay off to remain silent.
