The Walking on the Water

Then Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and precede him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. After doing so, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When it was evening he was there alone. Meanwhile the boat, already a few miles offshore, was being tossed about by the waves; for the wind was against it. During the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came toward them, walking on the sea. When the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were terrified: "It is a ghost," they said, and they cried out in fear. At once Jesus spoke to them, "Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid." Peter said to him in reply, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." He said, "Come." Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water toward Jesus. But when he saw how strong the wind was he became frightened; and, beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me." Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" After they got into the boat, the wind died down. Those who were in the boat did him homage, saying, "Truly, you are the Son of God."
(Passage from the Gospel of St. Matthew 14:27-33)

"I love you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in the world. Open your hearts to Me and I will give you all the graces you need to follow Me. I will strengthen your faith to believe in Me with all your heart and to oppose all the temptations of the evil one.

The Apostles were terrified when they saw Me walking on the water. They had never seen a person doing such a thing. I wanted to show them that I had great power, which only God has. Indeed this miracle touched the Apostles deeply and they made an act of faith in Me, saying, 'Truly, you are the Son of God.' Yes, I am the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity who became man to save you all. However, in order for you to be saved, you need to cooperate with Me. Besides your faith in Me, you need to follow the commandments and if you sin, to repent of your sins. In your love for Me, you will follow all that I have taught you especially to belong to My Church, to pray regularly and to go to church every Sunday. You will love your brothers and sisters and forgive those who have offended you in any way. Live in close union with Me and you will grow in holiness daily. I am your friend who is always ready to help you if you come to Me. I bless you all."

You are preaching a false doctrine. There is no other means to be saved other than faith in Jesus!

Answer this question...

Jesus said, "I did not come here to cancel the law, but to fulfill it." Is Jesus still here bodily on earth? The law has been fulfilled! Yet another "trick" question...what is the monthly mortgage payment in the 20th year..on a 15 year loan that was $2,000.00/month?

If your answer was $0.00, give yourself a few bonus points! When the contract is over, then there is no longer a need to pay the mortgage. Learn that! The "bill" for the "Law" has been PAID!!!!!! There is NO NEED TO CONTINUE TO TRY TO FULFILL THE LAW!!!

Nope, Protestants have two things wrong.

Preaching for money. It's a conflict of interest. One of the few times Christ got physically angry was when people were trying to make a profit in a house of worship.

Second. Justification comes by following law. Law permits our salvation.

Ask Jesus into your heart all you want, fail to abandon drug use, fornication, adultery, murder, etc. and you cannot be saved no matter how much faith or belief you have.

Obedience to divine law to the best of your knowledge saves us , not faith, grace covers your past ignorance of the law, not a lack of desire to fulfill and abide your current knowledge and awareness of sin.

Grace is not a license to commit sin. Grace covers your ignorance and past mistakes. Not mistakes you choose to make with a full awareness of what sin (violations of the law) is.

Those mistakes you make with a full awareness you pay for yourself. ie. The leg I got broken by hanging out with people I shouldn't have been. The marijuana users at the marina last summer.

"earning" heaven.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1484299

You do earn it. You exercise your moral agency when you make a choice to follow divine law or not.

That mechanism is what prevents your salvation or damns you to hell.

The imperfections of your awareness of sin or ignorance is covered by grace. That part you do not earn. That part was covered by the Atonement.

Your future transgressions made fully aware of what a particular sin are not covered by grace.

OK, I will not go through the first nine chapters of Romans with you. You are apparently not ready for the "food" of Scripture.

Answer these questions HONESTLY! If you spent $50,000.00 US on a new car, would you get a warranty? If you spent $1,000,000.00 on a new home, would you ask the builder for a warranty? If you answered yes to those two questions...than you are a shining genius...because in your eyes you are SMARTER THAN GOD! Your view is that God paid the most precious price on earth - the value of His only begotten son's blood to save you...but, you were able to "void the warranty" and lose your salvation. In your eyes God must be pretty darn stupid! You would get warranties, but omniscient God is not smart enough to warranty that His Son's blood is not spilled needlessly!

Ignorant interpretation of James. James is speaking of our justification before men not God. We are justified before men by our works and before God by our faith. This is the most basic understanding of the faith. Your failure to understand such milk of the word shows you are not truly His.

People wind up dead every day because of their failure to understand the concept of grace versus willful transgression. Anyone who gets paid to preach undermines their own authority to explain and interpret scripture.

Grace covers your ignorance and past mistakes. Nothing more.

Anyone who told you that gets paid to preach. Also a violation of proper doctrine.

You judaizer will never understand because you have never been born again. You do not have the Holy Spirit to guide you and everything you read in scripture is a blur to you. You do not understand sprititual things and continually try to earn salvation because you do not obey the commandment:

Ex 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

For the believer this is not Saturday nor Sunday.

For the believer this is the day of rest bought for us by Christ Jesus meaning that we cease our work of the law for salvation. You judaizers do not understand this basic premise of why the commandment was given. It was foreshadow of our rest in Christ's perfect work and not in our own for salvation.

Actually, there is a big "protection" provided by God but it's rejected by Protestants. They gotta change.

It's called Confession. There are reports, a priest I know
knew the priest in Dallas. President Kennedy went to

No offense taken...because there is nothing in the section of John that you quoted that would disagree with anything I have written. Peter did not sink, because Jesus reached out His hand and stopped Peter from sinking. It clearly was not any work on the part of Peter...the cross was in the future and any benefit the cross WOULD have were not "pre-credited" to Peter...the prophets of old were still in the grave while Jesus was on earth...waiting for the completion of the work on the cross and the ascension.

BTW, did Jesus ascend into heaven or not?

Re: Protestants error again, proclaiming our justification comes by belief (faith) alone....

God didn't give you the authority to interpret Scripture so
don't preach it. Please.

Private Interpretation of Scripture is a lie, another heresy.

God gave the Church the gift to interpret Scripture not each
person personally.

The Church gave us the Bible, makes sense, yes? Look at the
fruit of the heresy of PIOS. 30,000 +...Protestant sects.

In what false church should I honor the Sabbath?

Mormonism?

Failure to follow the law that prohibits polygamy, which is a violation of US law. Following the law is a requirement of the scripture as a tenet of the Christian faith you must follow the law.

Catholicism?

Failure to allow their priests to marry because some guys in the Old Testament abstained from marriage because of their special mission to spread a religion in its infancy.

Infant baptism or the child goes to hell.

cruise

Protestant?

Paid ministries undermine their own authority to teach, and usually are guilty of teaching false doctrine that is seriously flawed to the point that it can cost people their lives or their salvation.

These are all man made religions that have nothing to do with following scriptural law.

It's important to read Our Lord's words again in this prophetic. He's trying to help you "see" more is required.

The Gospel and the Church for 2000 years have taught, it's
faith and works. Do not follow a man's heresy anymore.
Luther is wrong, Sola Fide is not true.

James 2:24
Do you see that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

This is probably my last post in this thread. You will be one of the people that Jesus "throws away...into the fire!" You will claim that you preached "the gospel" to others and did mighty miracles in His name, but He will say, "Away from me, I never knew you!"

You still can't answer whether Jesus ascended into heaven. You still can't answer why you are preaching to follow the law...even though the law has been fulfilled. You still think you are smarter than God!

No offense intended Ac 1484... hf You can't base your justification
on the teachings of men. Everyone knows Bible Alone and
Faith Alone came from Martin Luther's mind. And...

If you're Bible Alone, why are you ignoring the above
verse from Scripture? Jesus explains again in the message
from Heaven.

You gotta change.

Our lives, our choices are a "work" every day until our death. Faith Alone is not true. Are you saying you still believe Luther's heresy, Faith Alone? It's historical,
I can, you can know, the world knows it came from Martin
Luther.

Your reply isn't very clear to me, I don't understand what
you are saying....?

thanks and blessings,

Wow ... this thread has me baffled.

Where in scripture did Christ say about going to "Church" and on "Sunday" ???
