Only one problem here, I don't believe the bible. I believe that religions are made to limit our spiritual growth.

I think I have projected although when you have 2 small kids it's hard to find the time to get un-interrupted concentration to do it.

I have meditated to the point where my body vibrates/goes numb. The 2 times I have been able to do it, it's almost beyond explanation. All sense are combined into one. Sight,smell, hearing etc. You just "feel" everything.

To the naysayers who claim it's all in your head, well whenever modern science comes across something they can't explain they always want to slap a rational explanation to it. It doesn't mean they are right. Some things you have to experience yourself.

There have been times where I have made an effort to mediate for 15mins twice a day, and it makes a huge difference to your state of mind. Much calmer, centred, but then the practice slips and my discipline goes out the window.

i had to travel hundreds of miles to get training in this. but it was worth it, and i'm definitely going back for more, also trying to work out a way for a trainer to come to near where i live and do a workshop for people in my area. it is not impossible to get training. or just go to the nearest reservation and try to see if there are any elders there who might agree to train you! think outside the box. use your intuition.

not that it's bad to practice and try things on your own. but it will take a lot longer to learn things that way. like if you had some earth, and some seeds, and some water, and you knew that planting seeds makes food--and you had to figure out agriculture on your own. sure, you could grow some plants. but it might be nice if there were an agriculture college nearby.

I did that when i was 7 years old, once i was out, i was not allowed to go anywhere but back in my body, i was mad.

When i was 14 in school , they brought his woman , in , i have no idea as to why , but anyway , she got the whole class , to think of the sky , your body etc ... started talking for ages , it was a very wierd experience , like some sort of meditation , she said keep doing this at home it will teach you to relax ...

anyhow a few years later and i had no fricking idea how this would happen but i woudl go into a trance , and come out of it sat in a cross legged position and it would seem like id been like that for 5 minute , but when i went down stairs to check the time , it was like 3 hours later and dark ...

it happened about 3 times to me ,... that woman was a fricking witch or sumut ... was my a hole rimmed by greys , i dont know , but something wasnt right with me , after she did this to the class..

The problem most people are going to have, is that once the experience begins happening, you end up getting all excited and it will collapse the experience. Try and remain calm (though you won't be able to the first few times you get so far), and just go with it.
