Hahaha! Yeah, God forbid you get to know your own spirit. Let's see, how bout we scare you about demons and BS so you don't ever get to know your true self. God forbid that happens! The church would be out of business!

This is where people need to understand how incredible your soul is. You think your soul is weak? Interesting. It's the most powerful thing you've got. You think leaving your body makes your soul weaker? Interesting. I always thought it was the physical body that restrained your spirit from flying free and communing with angels. But you're saying the body protects you from the horrible effects of communing with the angelic. Oops, not angelic...I meant demonic. God and your angels won't help you if you start to explore your own soul? Why not? Oh yeah, you think we were born in sin and are actually assholes. So why would they help an asshole.

Right?

Body, soul and spirit are three different things that together make up your person.
Nowhere above did I say that my soul is weak. Nowhere above did I mention my soul. Nowhere above did I mention whether or not I go to church or what my personal, specific take on religion is. You obviously have issues with God that you need to solve because it's clear that you feel compelled to mock every post on here written by anyone who seems to exhibit a bit of faith. What riles you so much about God?
"Why not? Oh yeah, you think we were born in sin and are actually assholes."
Look at the matrix around you and tell me that when left to his own (de)vices man doesn't sink to the lowest behaviour possible? We are by nature "assholes" as you put it. God helps us and directs us (and chides us, tries to correct us when we're wrong and he especially warns us about such things as mentioned in this thread) because he loves us. But it is free for every man to believe what he wants to believe so I will not argue with you about my belief but you're more than welcome to carry on mocking it as you see fit.

Goodnight all. As you were.

Yeah, your God loves us, but will send us to eternal damnation even if we live a good life, without committing a single sin.

Loving God you got there.

Remember, it is not GOD that you are referring to. It is your belief of God. If you've never traveled out of body, you will never understand. You will only have your belief.

Seriously, people need to start coming up with a different argument really fast because this: "Yeah, your God loves us, but will send us to eternal damnation even if we live a good life, without committing a single sin. Loving God you got there" is starting to get old and it won't excuse you.

So you have never sinned a day in your life. Really? According to whose judgement? Yours as a man or God's?
God's standard is very different to our standard and it's difficult for men to try and wrap their heads around the glory of what it is to be God. To be omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent...it's too much for the human rationale to understand. We can't even understand the universe so how can we begin to understand God's perfect standard? We only understand our own flawed standard because the concept of an absolutely perfect God exceeds our capacity to understand what that entails.
In order to understand what God considers sin you have to try and look at yourself through the eyes of a God who is infinitely good, infinitely pure and infinitely perfect. Only this way can you realise just how imperfect we are and begin to be grateful in the knowledge that even in our imperfection God loves us, would like us to be perfect as he is and has provided a way for us to become so, so that we can be in his presence. God doesn't want anyone to die. He wants all to come to him but he can't force you to do so against your will.

I really have to be off now but wherever your life and your choices take you, I wish you all the best.
