Re: How can I use sleep paralysis to induce an OBE?
Itīs strange that you would mention sleep paralysis as a cause of an "OBE". The reason I find it so strange is because the only time I have ever astral projected was because of the intense fear that came with sleep paralysis. The "will" to scream/move caused me to leave my body. But why would you know this?

REPLY: The demon? Please spare me the preaching. I donīt believe that crap. Everything Christians donīt understand they ascribe to demons. Grow up.

"It´s strange that you would mention sleep paralysis as a cause of an "OBE". The reason I find it so strange is because the only time I have ever astral projected was because of the intense fear that came with sleep paralysis. The "will" to scream/move caused me to leave my body. But why would you know this?"

I tried doing some research on the internet because I remember reading a book by Albert Taylor about his sleep paralysis leading him to multiple, positive OBEs. I didnīt find much help on google though and wanted to know if anyone had first-hand, practical experience. I do remember he said that it is a precursor to OBEs and that if we get afraid to think of our little finger and start to move it. This worked for me but I want to move on and see if I can project.

"be careful!! sleep paralysis can cause mayor bad effects to your soul/energy. don´t try this alone if you are not very well experienced."

Iīve never heard of this, even in the few detailed articles Iīve seen on sleep paralysis. I think weīre more afraid of this than we need to be. Even the medical literature which is void of any reference to astral projection says that basically sleep paralysis is harmless.

You just let it happen, go with the flow, and it will happen.

Did you get an electrical feeling?

Hello, Voodoo, Iīm the OP. I didnīt get an electrical feeling this time but I have on previous occasions. Iīve also heard buzzing. Once (a long time ago) I heard the most beautiful music Iīve ever heard and I awakened wanting to hear more but never did.

Should I visualize myself out of my body? And how would I get back? Thanks.

You might try attempting to remain conscious as the body falls asleep. It takes practice but it has worked for me. The first few attempts you may just find it impossible to fall asleep but just let your mind wander as it will and watch in a detached sort of way and see what happens.

Something else that has worked most naturally for me is simply entering a state of deep contemplation. Simply contemplate something that stirrs a sense of profoundness in you, something that cause your mind to seem as though it is expanding to greater and greater dimensions the deeper you delve into the thoughts that arise.

Let it be natural and there is better chance of entering realms of consciousness which match natural orientation, if that makes sense.

How can someone want sleep paralysis. One of the worst experiences of my life. Emotionally traumatic to this day.

I have a question----

have very OFTEN awoke with the tingling(feels like my body is electric) and the buzzing noise. Always scared the shit out of me.

Is this the precursor of OBE?

I donīt know about an OBE, but Whitley Strieber might be able to help you use sleep paralysis to induce an alien abduction hallucination.

huh? Stay calm perhaps but if you are paralyzed by some unknown energy then it may be in your best interest to librate yourself from that state. Donīt you think?

One possibility. Think of it more as a heightened sense of awareness.

Allen1.......should I qualm my fear when I wake and try to go with it?? Often when this happens I awaken just enough to "feel" normal, but when I fall back asleep, I have it again.

Also, your earlier post I guess is what I am fearful of, I do know (canīt describe it), that receivers sometimes are targeted. Should I listen to the fear?

Yes, but how is one to change the awareness when they are "paralysed". Iīve had two experiences in my life. If there is a way to alter the sensation Iīm curious.

Re: How can I use sleep paralysis to induce an OBE?
There was a time in my life where I had sleep paralysis quite often. I havenīt experienced it in years. Itīs not something I can control. The one OBE experience I had, during this, happened on itsī own. I was completely unaware that it was an OBE when it first happened; It felt like I had just īgainedī my movement back (sort of). It did NOT last long; reason being I was sleeping in a loft and when I had the OBE, I went īthroughī the stairs to get to the bottom floor. This immediately brought me back to myself. This was the first and only time Iīve had on OBE. The intense fear that came with the sleep paralysis was what caused me to will myself to move which is what caused the whole thing. This was NOT controllable for me. Good luck. Needless to say Iīm curious about this phenomenon because it is something I have experienced...so if anyone has any more info....

Learning to trust your instincts and intuition is very important. If there is fear there may be good reason, even if it is simply alerting you to proceed with caution. Giving in to fear is never a good idea as this is a sure way become paralyzed, confused and vulnerable but the fear itself will heighten your awareness which you can use to your benifit. I wouldnīt "push" until you feel ready.

I agree that "receivers" are sometimes targeted because this has been my experience. Oft times this targeting is done for the sole purpose of inhibiting through fear. I wonīt kid you, Iīve had encounters that are absolutely terrifying. Iīve been attacked by forces that litterally tried to bore into my mind and others which attempted to forcably eject me from my "body", as best as I can explain. Iīve had "alien abduction" experiences, encountered entities I could only describe as demonic and a host of other things. I have learned, and Iīm not trying to brag here, that I seem to have some sort of power center that has given me natural abilities to ward of and thwart these "negative" energies/entities but I canīt say why or how they came to be. Actually Iīm confident we all have these abilities but just like our physical immune systems, some seem stronger than others. I know the key is awareness but again, this varies in degree from one individual to another.

I guess the best advice I could give would be to be very clear of your intentions and to trust yourself completely to be able to handle whatever comes up. You have to know yourself which requires true self-honesty. This is all any experience will lead you too anyway, a deeper understanding of yourself. If you are afraid of yourself then you have much to fear in "others". Otherwise...

Hope Iīm not only adding to confusion.

Blessings

Read a bunch of books about OBEīs and it will happen. Just donīt get too excited when it happens or you will be thrown back into your body very quickly. Thats what happened with me, but since coming onto this forum, I lost alot of my spiritual gifts, became to negative. This place is like a very very bad drug. The whole zeta, nesara, political bashing and non stop negativity at this place is one way ticket to hell. There can be a positive thing here or there here, but thats a rarity. Donīt let the negativity get you down or you WON"T be having any OBEīs.

I am also wondering if this is a common thing? The first experience I had was really threating. I talked about it to one person and her only.

Re: How can I use sleep paralysis to induce an OBE?
thank you

I wasnīt sure anyone would understand what I meant by "receivers".

I guess that is my problem, the only experiences I remember well, I felt threatened by īsomething". Now, I am very hesitant to explore. I can even talk myself out of the "dream" while Iīm still sleeping. I realize that is a huge step in itself.

I like the "trust in your own power" thought. I do know, on some level, that I canīt be a particpant unless I will it.

Will try again tonight...... post tomorrow.

P.S. I would like to ask about the bodyīs pineal......I am 41, but when I was in my 20īs I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The suspected spot is at the base of my skull/spinal coloumn. The pineal is perfect, much to the chagrin of the Docīs....they were unnerved that the surrounding tissues seemed to "cradle" this area. Had gone in for an MRI of my neck (suspected pinched nerve causing carpal tunnel). After extensive testing, Docs at Yale, relayed it was a cyst present since birth. Just an anomaly. This was profound...........it is fluid filled. Never had anymore thought about it until recently. Do you think that the fluid "AMPS" up my ability to process light. Somehow I just know this as well. Know you all think Iīm bonkers for sure now LOL..........any insights?
