I get the feeling this "crisis" is going to fizzle out and we won't be talking about it in 4 days.

We have more than enough money to "pay our bills"...it's the issue of spending on all the "programs"..and them continuing to borrow money to do it... That pesky military program seems to take the lions share... Indeed. All those wars, all that foreign aid and foreign bases. The Armed Services committee was pissed last night. They want social security, medicaid/medicare cut so they can continue with money enough to keep the war machine running. Yes, they said that. Not that they came right out and said they like war, but they did say they want those paid for social programs cut and that money put into the war machine.
