The Netherlands is an unbelievable great country.

I even like it more than my own country, and so do many other germans I know.

It's really no comparison to the U.S. that I visited 2 times, NL is just great.

And so are its inhabitants.

im from sw germany, all dutch i meet are old, drive caravans and block the roads as they drive slow as fuck.

In the storyline Dutch are very much into presentation..meaning what you see is NOT what you get.

Nationalism is a sickness in The Netherlands and Dutch self worth is very tied into their Dutch pride because there is nothing else LOL

I lived over a decade in Amsterdam and I can tell you once you learn the language and live in the Netherlands you will find that appearances can be very deceiving.

Just like anywhere else there are nice people and there are assholes.

Don't buy into fake exterior presentation...look underneathe to find true character

Like I said Dutch are very nationalistic and that's why they like to promote themselves

But it's a very shame-based society which isn't as tolerant as people believe.

though it was awesome to see Bart Swings mouthing the words to our anthem when he got second place at the World Championship Allround iceskating! :P

And I think our royal family fares a bit better compared to theirs but that isj ust matter of opinion I guess!

i agree that dutch are pretty dope (im german) but the netherlands as in the politics is wack as fuck

example. last week we got a fine for 300 euros for having a fire in a backyard.
but 10 minutes later when we saw someone REALLY beating up his kids and called the police they said "what do you want us to do about it?"

its terrible. my dutch friends couldnt borrow 10.000 from a bank to start a company but immigrants get to borrow 10.000 with no interest to find someone to teach them dutch!! like why doesnt the government have a program to teach them? it pisses me off

oh and to top it off a while ago someone raped a little girl and got cleared for it because of his "cultural upbringing"
