WELL? HAVE YOU ALL DISCUSSED REINCARNATION INTO THE GROUND?
Amazing the heights of rhetorical hyperbole this topic engenders.

On one hand we have the absolutely brainless clones parsing their vapid arguments as fodder for the sheep - like: reincarnation is like groundhog day - that is consigns you to repeat the same life over and over and over without ever learning your lessons and never being accountable for your actions...

And then...

We have the over-spiritualized philosopher-clones, each with a more obliquely esoteric spin than the last, making no sense whatsoever but sounding mighty erudite and pseudo-enlightened.

People. Get a grip why don't you. Reincarnation is not a mystery nor a belief nor a trap nor a matter of debate at all.

It just IS.

And it is real simple to understand with a simple metaphor.

You know how you get tired in the evening and all your systems begin to seek rest and rejuvenation? And so you lay down, close your eyes, and enter an entirely different state of consciousness? One wherein you are free of any limitation? And then you awaken refreshed to begin another day? To continue and pick up where you left off the day before - and/or - to also to begin new plans while making amends for any harm you may have inflicted the day before?

In a general way, THAT is the how and why of reincarnation. Except when we die, we take a longer rest and get a new vehicle and devise a new plan - but the wisdom gained is never lost as our consciousness is continuous. We are containers of localized consciousness that go in and out of form.

And as life is never-ending, our adventure is never-ending.

So all you religious clones who really want a finish line with an absolute payoff or an absolute penalty, well, stay in kindergarten with your manufactured fairy tale. It is a damn simple parable that makes sense all the way down to a three year old.

Some day, you may ask yourselves why.

Thank you for your eloquent and and sagacious reply. And I thought they spoke english across the pond. Apparently you are literacy-challenged. It's OK to be wrong. Quite another to be stupid.

And as far as not being responsible for our actions goes, this universe is a closed, sympathetically connected biosphere, where whatever goes around comes around. We pay the price for our actions in what we reap. When we see and feel the effects of our actions and realize it all comes back to us eventually, we learn NOT to act irresponsibly, as we only hurt ourselves in the end.

So come on you indomitable clones. Time to speak up. Take your understanding and apply my metaphor and what you have is an argument never to live two days in a row for it would be complete waste - a prison - an endless loop - an unceasing duplication of the day before.

Do you begin to see how stupid your argument is?

There is one and only one thing we ever need know:

LIFE CONTINUES FOREVER.

But is also has built in periods of rest.

Deal with it.

You reunite with your soul grouping of like-vibrational souls in between lives. It fits any definition of heaven as it is free from anything limiting or negative. But it is NOT a common place where only certain people go - and it certainly is NOT the end of the line where you spend the next quadrillion years playing pinochle until you go start raving mad and try to kill someone.

There is one and only one mandate of life and it's built in - IT CONTINUES.

"Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever. The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises. The wind blows to the south and turns to the north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course. All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again...What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun." (Ecclesiastes 1:4-9)

Re: WELL? HAVE YOU ALL DISCUSSED REINCARNATION INTO THE GROUND?
There are a hundred things I could point to that suggest reincarnation...such as the extreme disparity in life across this planet as far as overall development goes - from primitive tribes living in rain forests to the Bill Gates types who command so many resources and so much power. What can account for such a diverse continuum? How does one end ever catch up with the other? It certainly doesn't happen quickly - much less in the course of one lifetime, no matter how long.

This earth is like a one room school house where the lessons range the full gamut of learning as the students comprise the full range of learning. It just so happens that we are all in the same room - which is a good object lesson if nothing else for those more advanced - that there are levels or grades of development and the only way to explain why there is so much disparity is the fact that we are not all on the same lap - or same numbered lifetime, even though we may sit side by side in the same classroom. We all go through the same levels and there is no jumping ahead. But it takes hundreds and hundreds of incarnations for natural growth and evolution to take place and to take root.

Reincarnation is the vehicle wherein we can develop as souls over time in a continuous fashion. Besides, our vehicles wear out too damn fast. How many of you have owned only one car this lifetime?
