Which path did you start out on...?
I never really thought about this too seriously until recently...

There were 2 paths for me to choose from as a child...

1. In Sunday School (actually on Saturday... catechism) we were taught to follow Jesus' example and teachings of compassion and understanding.

2. In the Adult church it was all fear and worship. It was obvious to me back then that this was a ploy to keep the masses in fear and under control.

Having been brought up with philosophy #1, I found #2 to be much less desirable.

It seems that a lot of people never got a chance to hear an interpretation of the Bible like the one I was raised on.

No wonder this place always seemed like hell to me and it seemed like everything was backwards from the way it was supposed to be.

Simply because we haven't learned COMPASSION yet.

We seem to be either:

A. Young souls who don't have enough compassion yet.

or

B. Souls who have chosen the DARK PATH of fear and ignorance. (The "easy" way out...)

I really don't know which is true. Maybe mixed...???

It can be AGAIN.

We ruined it when we fell from GRACE and started ignoring God's warning about the knowledge of good and evil (JUDGMENT).

Judgment is a natural instinct that creates war, conflict and hell if misused. TPTB love to misuse our judgment against us.

The satanic plot to keep us in hell forever...

1. FEAR GOD.

2. Ignore God;s warning about good/evil - JUDGMENT

3. IGNORE JESUS' TEACHING/EXAMPLE - COMPASSION, UNDERSTANDING

4. BELIEVE THAT DEATH IS FINAL. And you don't have to come back to the mess that you left.

5. Keep waiting for someone to bring "salvation" to you.

Compassion: Sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others.

According to this definition I have much compassion for ALL christians. I pity them. I am concerned for all the suffering and misfortune that you have to endure because of blind faith.

I think I know how jezus felt.

It seems the Sunday School teachers gave an INTERPRETATION that was more FROM THE HEART than in the Adult church services.

It was totally opposite from the Catholic Church services the adults attended. That was when I left... Stuck with the love-based version all my life.

Just beginning to realize just how many people NEVER GOT A CHOICE like I did.

Thought I'd try to spread the idea around a bit on a conspiracy site. Seems to be a conspiracy... to keep us in hell.

Re: Which path did you start out on...?
An interesting perspective:

I assumed that God created us in His image by splitting His awareness somehow.

That we were tiny pieces of GOD'S IMAGE.

The holographic theory seems to fit well as an example.

That we each contain the entire image of God even though we are just very tiny pieces.

That would help explain how God knows everything we do.

A spiritual (quantum physics) connection sort of.

People can now choose between 2 different illusions.

1. God hates us and is PUNISHING us for no good reason and a warning we don't even begin to comprehend.

OR

2. We are IMAGES OF GOD... learning everything from scratch. Including compassion and understanding.

Before now... Most people only had ONE CHOICE.

Let's give people an honest choice, please...

Thanks!

Re: Which path did you start out on...?
Mankind in general NEEDS a better basic philosophy than the one we are presently using.

Living in FEAR was for training and spiritual growth.

When we have enough compassion (as a whole) we won't have to suffer nearly as much to survive.

It seems to be a self-regulating system. The less compassion we have, the more suffering we allow.

Yes,as I told my 13 year old.Always think in the positive, never allow a negitive thought in your head.Fear is the biggest tool being used now to bring you away from the creator source.Love is the only way,as well as power in manifesting your future.Love you OP

The more we suffer...

The more COMPASSION we have.

The less we suffer.

OR

We just let it all go to hell and keep reincarnating.

I really find these threads so sad, pointless and meaningless...because in reality it does not matter one way or the other, but we humans are so caught up in the self and the now, that we can't see the woods from the trees in terms of universal realities vs all the historical and hierarchal theories, doctrines and dogmas (bullshit) we are born to face and challenge and often beat ourselves with too!).

Just look at the wonder of the universe and understand it is built on polarity, chaos and random instability right down to the macro level. Then judge yourself - relative to the scheme of things...and realise that we are actually very insignificant but lucky to have the chance to just be here in our bodies and this physical realm and see the wonder of chaos for ourselves, Therefore what we add to this life as values, beliefs and meaning is truly subjective but ultimately irrelevant. It just most cannot understand or accept this simple humble magnificent truth..as values, morals, compassion, greed and evil etc.etc are all human made.
