Theory regarding increases in seismic and volcanic activity across the globe

I've done a bit of research and it seems to me that a plausible explanation for the increases in seismic and volcanic activity across the planet may be due to rising sea levels from melting polar ice.

Whatever the cause, it is apparent that polar ice is melting and this will affect sea levels.

I discovered that, when drilling for water, one will hit fresh water first, but if one were to keep on drilling deeper into the earth, he or she would eventually hit SALT water.

This reveals that fresh water actually rests on TOP of the salt water table.

If sea level rises, the fresh water table will rise because it will either be pushed upward by the underlying salt water or the fresh water table will be affected more directly by the amount of fresh water be introduced into the sea.

This could cause water to be pushed up into fault systems and volcanic systems. Water is known to lubricate fault lines and water is known to produce increased pressure within volcanic systems.

Furthermore, recently 8 million gallons were flushed from a reservoir in Oregon supposedly because a man peed into the water.

This premise is ridiculous and I cannot believe that anyone running a water treatment facility would flush 8 million gallons of TREATED drinking water simply because of one bladder full of pee. The affect of this on the whole of the reservoir would be completely inconsequential. Not to mention the fact that it is common for people and aquatic life pee in the water.

While doing my research, I came across several articles regarding aquifers and other drinking water reservoirs. I discovered that aquifers naturally adjust over long periods of time (in terms of human life span) to keep salt water out, but if the water table changes rapidly enough, SALT WATER CAN PENETRATE INTO FRESH WATER RESERVOIRS.

Now that would be a more appropriate reason to flush 8,000,000 gallons of very expensive drinking water.

Of course many other things occurred to me that would explain why they did this, but none of them made any sense because of the sheer amount of water that was apparently contaminated. It would be difficult, logistically speaking, to intentionally contaminate that much water. However, a geologic event could easily do this.

I have also heard numerous pleas from the FDA and other health agencies encouraging people to cut down on salt specifically. It is commonly known that many people consume too much salt because of unhealthy diet, but the recent pleas seem more urgent and "front page" than I have previously witnessed.

One explanation for this could be that we are getting more salt in our drinking water.

I have ordered a kit for testing the sodium content in water and I will begin to test the local drinking water over a period of at least six months to see if I can measure or observe rising levels of sodium in it.

One last thing, rising salinity in irrigation water could explain crop failures in areas unaffected by drought. I'm not an agriculturist, so I cannot claim that it is not normal for crops to fail unexpectedly, but I was able to find several articles regarding recent unexplained crop failures all over the world.
