Are cherry blossoms blooming now in Japan?
So are cherry blossoms blooming in Japan right now instead of in April? Someone on my FB is claiming that they are & she has Japanese relatives so I'm presuming it's true.

Can anyone in Japan confirm/deny this?

I think she must be confused as since then a Japanese lady has come up and said they aren't blooming in Tokyo. I thought it seemed a little unlikely. Still interested to know if it's happening anywhere else in Japan.
