i am the father of a family of 5 in total but my kids are far to young to do such things. i have no guns. strictly survival materials. axes, shovels, machettes and shit like that. i can and will fashion some spears. set up some booby traps as precautionary measures but all in all will try my best to avoid most people. me and my family will be more like the loner in your doomsday scenario. if you find a secluded enough place and are prepared with food and water caches....all should be okay. i have my spot. i have enough food and water to live off of for a few months. in a weird way, i am looking forward to living off the land again.

when the gunshots and screaming subside off in the distance, time to pick thru the debris for supplies. can not imagine there will be much food or water left after the initial onslaught. there will be overlooked tools and other such valuables laying around. hopefully at that point, only us survivalist types will be left and once again, hopefully we can band together to try to re-build

if i'm held up in my home, or wherever i set up: i should have already set up blockades, traps. i should have guns/bows&arrows/body armour class IIIa/stockpiles of canned and dehydrated food/water cleanser/seeds.

i should definitely not be alone. i will help if it's reasonable. give them a day or two's food and end them on their way... willingly or not.

Aim for the three females first, you want a kill shot on the youngest girl (preferably in the head) and 2 crippling shots to the other two females...The younger sons will freak out and attempt to aid their injured siblings. The minute you see the males distraction break, then you take out the adult male. The other two should be disoriented enough for them to be easy pickins too.

i truly appreciate your concern my friend. i have very little $$$ at this time or anytime for that matter. i do know where there is a cache of guns and they are my mothers, so she would be cool with me taking a few to protect the children. i hope it never comes to this scenario but i am afraid it does not look good. i will be ready. my camp has one way in. a person will have to go thru a hell of nettles, rough terrain and a pile of booby trap pit falls to get at us. the guns are about 200 miles NNE of my spot. i know i can get there and back in 4-5 hours via car and about 1 day and change via bicycle. i got a lot of good people in my camp with a lot of useful supplies in tow. i wish everyone luck. doom or not, i am planning on going into the wilderness regardless. it is time to revert back to mother nature.
