THE REDUCTIVE ARROGANCE OF CHRISTIANITY
First - all my friends are Christians, and for the most part, none of them express an overt arrogance, as they use their beliefs to impel them through life in a positive way, which is what 99% of the planet does with their particular religious beliefs.

But Christianity stands out among the rest in its reductive theology which posits that there is a Point A and (desirable) Point B, and the only way to get from point A to point B is through their invented avatar, Jesus.

All others, by default, necessarily will be relegated to Point C, the pit of doom.

This is where Christianity becomes a vessel of arrogant reduction - in effect, telling the rest of the world that their cultures, customs and beliefs are void - devoid of any value, meaning or connection to the "divine". And subsequently, that all non-Christian lives are subsequently vacant of meaning, truth and purpose - as all that comprises the life of a non-Christian is patently pointless and without effect or value, as all such lives wind up in the same wretched place and state of oblivion, rendering the whole of such a life, invalid, inconsequential and disconnected to "god".

This is the insult that is Christianity.

The arrogance part, is that by deduction, only a Christian life has value, meaning, purpose or lasting positive effect - as only a Christian's life can account for anything before their "god" - as only they will spend an eternity with "god". And so all that comprises life - the ups and downs, the trials and errors, the acts of kindness - the accomplishments - the creativity - the learning and growing - the wisdom gained - the purpose and meaning - the truth and beauty - is only real and substantive if you are a Christian. The rest of humanity? Well - nice try - but no cigar. Take whatever meaning, truth, beauty and wisdom you think you've gained to the pit of doom and see what it's worth.

There is no other religion quite like Christianity.

And certainly, none so arrogant.

Re: THE REDUCTIVE ARROGANCE OF CHRISTIANITY
For all it's epic pomposity, Christianity is the unwitting grand irony of all time - as it is the eternal poster child of absolute exclusivity in its theology - yet - it is in actuality, completely and utterly disconnected from reality, thus rendering it void. Christianity is its own punch line which it doesn't get and never will, as nothing it posits has anything to do with universal design or function, rendering it antithetical to life and verily, unto the universe at large - with its embedded notion that life is a contest with a finish line - with those born east of Rome hampered by the time zone handicap of living in non-Christian countries.

If there is anything that rivals the arrogance that is Christianity, it is the tacit abject stupidity.

I give you the posters to this thread as proof.

Not in their theologies but perhaps in the minds of their adherents. But what other religion states that theirs is the only true religion and the only way to get from Point A to Point B lest you risk your eternal soul? Even the demonized Islam recognizes the Christian prophets/teachers, including Moses and Jesus. And none of the eastern religions claim any sort of exclusivity.

I don't have beliefs. Beliefs are for the superstitious. And you don't get it. Go stand on a street corner in Islamabad and speak your simply benign "truth" and see what reaction you get. And as you run for your life, try yelling out that it was only an "invitation"...that they don't have to accept it. And then see if they stop running - or run even faster.

That's plain wrong. Eastern religions are not exclusive at all. As I say, their adherents may be, as people tend to extol their own religion above all others - but that is a baseline consciousness thing (which is why this planet is so screwed up) and does not therefore necessarily reflect the intent of the religion. And eastern religions recognize the fact that we reincarnate - and so, there is no Point A and Point B - hence, how can they be exclusive when we recycle over and over and over - discounting the western notion that there is a goal to life and a key to achieve the goal?

People speak about what they perceive as truth with confidence (even as you do here), when perhaps humility would be a better approach in all aspects of sharing what we perceive as truth.

But we can all see how this world operates. It operates on arrogance and confidence and hubris and the more the better. The more confident a man appears, the more persuasive he becomes in the eyes of others.

In fact, this world promotes such behavior. These are the ones in positions of power in this world. The confident ones. The arrogant ones.

I suppose we would all do better to simply live a quiet and humble and peaceable life in this short journey called life.

I wish you well neighbor.

OP IS awake, it's the rest of you that are NOT. He posed valid questions that most of you stuck in this shit will not answer. TIME IS SHORT and you ones leave out your brothers and sisters all over the world. All races and cultures received AVATARS. Jesus was NOT even the only one.

You were given MINDS people, use them. God does NOT work this way. Jesus started NO religion. He demonstrated the GO WITHIN YOU and connecting to the Father privately by meditation. ACtually he was telepathic, but meditation will get your there. Now JUdethz, read this, given by AA Uriel today. IT IS TRUTH.

The Necessary Pilgrimage-AA Uriel

I bring today a new perspective to the concept of Pilgrimage. Its intonation and meaning for you on mortal grounds is a journey to foreign and far places well esteemed for historical holy events. Many travel long distances to places well documented as being the holding places where epic events manifested.

The question is, why does man feel the need to partake in pilgrimages? Reasons may vary from seeking inspiration to discovering one’s self, the need to experience ‘holy’ energy, participating in re-enactments or just being present where renowned figures walked, worked or lived. The enjoyment or enrichment which man may receive from such pilgrimages is by no means undervalued. Some pilgrimages may have indelible impact on those who participate. The truth however is, comparatively speaking, physical pilgrimages yields little in respect of mortal transformation. It becomes a story for one to tell later on rather than an experience that has profound and enduring results.

I am here to enlighten you to another view. Your mortal sojourn does indeed have a spiritual bias. It is intended that during your mortal incarnation you will discover your true self- being the God of you, your authentic identity and cultivate a relationship with the God incarnate. A spiritual evolution will begin which will enable you to be placed on your spiritual path using the physical body as a vehicle to attain higher consciousness. The whole purpose of your life on earth is to rediscover your link to God and to seek inner guidance as to how He fits into your purpose on earth. Many times you have heard that the earth provides a learning ground where you can establish yourself as a God-being and seek and earn God mastery.

You may certainly seek inspiration from past events and even benefit from the recollection or the witnessing; but observation of what has transpired in times past will seldom provide the food for learning necessary for you to discover your identify and live your purpose. That can only be accomplished through the taking of an ‘inner pilgrimage’. You as children of God bear holy terrain within you. It is this terrain that you must necessarily traverse as you take that pilgrimage from the physical dimension of your being to the spiritual essence –your soul’s source.

This inner pilgrimage offers a wealth of opportunities as you journey to rediscover your source or what we shall call your highest self. You will have to transcend familiar terrain of the physical and breach barriers to higher understanding before you are able to begin the exploration of the celestial part of you. This dear children is a wondrous pilgrimage to take. It can last as long as you desire it to. As you journey inwards the path can become difficult at times in that there may be impediments along the way that will slow your journey or discourage further progression. Yet it is the most rewarding journey you shall ever take. This travel will cost you nothing, except time, energy, desire and love.

What you will become re acquainted with is in fact knowledge well known to spirit which re-awakes within you as your journey continues. You will meet along the way many who are willing to guide you deeper and deeper into your true consciousness; that you may eventually find your dwelling place in a domain which offers you complete balance, love and light. Never will you be a lonely pilgrim for when you initiate the inner pilgrimage you enter into a flow of energy that if sustained with eventually fulfil you. You will come to know the great life force you hold within and this will usher feelings of completeness.

Where does the pilgrimage lead you to eventually? Simply, the Kingdom of God which dwells within each of God’s children; a non physical arena where bliss, inner harmony, purity and unclouded love exist; where indescribable peace reigns and where you will glow in the knowledge and comfort of your immortality.

I trust that you are able to understand now how necessary the inner pilgrimage is; for you cannot discover your self or align with all that is holy unless you find and know yourself. You can only accomplish this through the taking of that inner journey- the one true and decisive pilgrimage that each child of God will have to take before he/she reunites with the Source.

Uriel is here in the reflection of God’s light. He brings the helmet of peace and tells the children of God that the way to paradise requires the taking of an intense inner pilgrimage.

Blessed be thee who can understand and know the truth of these words.
Uriel.

first, Jesus isn't invented and second Christians don't have a monopoly on him.
Exalted is He from what they utter. Exalted is He from what they imagine. Exalted is He that exists without a place. Exalted is He that was there forever without a time or a beginning. Exalted is He that will be there forever without a time or an end. Exalted is He that will forever be praised. That is your God.

Your stable is also empty my son. The classic arrogance of Christians is that they are NEVER out of their depth. NEVER. They apply their paltry, pedantic euphemistic pabulum as argument in place of any reasoned, self-honed reply and tacitly assume their superior position which they always hold based on belief/faith. It is a mindlessless/ignorance without measure nor peer. You, are a clone.
