Great, valuable thread. I am going to print it all out for a reference source.

Unfortunately, we live in a major city and there will no way to leave because of the road snarls. If we know/anticipate in advance, we do have an rv in a rural area an hour and a half away that is stocked with some emergency supplies. Good as only a short term solution. We have prepared for shelter-in-place but there's a lot more to do while we can. My big worry is someone just deciding to burn us out.

There is some game in the area, even deer in the neighborhood, and a short walk to fishing. Just hoping that we are thinking of and covering as many bases as possible. And I know that being mentally prepared and strong is one of our best assets.
