The only thing that scares me about silver is what happened in the last depression. If we do fall into a full blown depression (I really believe we are in a mild "modern" one now) silver might not rocket north like is hoped. If demand falls further than production, well, thats a problem for silver.

Real soon the bankers are going to dump tonnes of gold onto the market and kill the value only to buy it all back at cheap. Soon as they have all your monies. The stocks are going down as the dollar credit rating has been cut. As the USD loses reserve status and inflation rises the stock market also crashes as it did before. All the CB are ran by the same people? They buy gold as a way to manipulate the price of physical gold. They need to raise the price as demand allows higher prices.

Thats a joke. The IMF threatened for years to dump 400 tons on the market and when they finally needed to raise cash it was this unspectacular thud sort of like letting your dick hit the dirt. India bought it all, as fast as the IMF could produce it and begged for more.

Either investors will decide the price is too much and lose interest or at some point maybe around $3000 the bottom falls out. The pundits will say: "well, the bubble has popped," and "that was a long overdue correction."

The bankers may have a plan for silver too. But, there are so many investors worldwide today and the supply is short. The coming rocketing spike in silver would be unstoppable.

The thing is, this price is artificially low. It IS being manipulated. Silver will spike. Industry is a much different beast than back then.

Btw guys, I bought gold like two weeks ago. The price above spot for random year golden eagles was about $73. Now it's $89 on apmex. This trend is going to continue to get worse. Pretty soon you're going to be paying 100 bucks + shipping just for the honor of being able to hold your gold.

Anyone with paper gold is going to get screwed. Guaranteed. It happened last century, it'll happen again.

You'd have died a nice death in the last depression, with the 1st wave. Do read some real history and try to do better this go round. The gist? No one with gold or silver died of starvation. The ones that allegedly died never had any. Does that compute for you?
