I was brought up in one of those shitholes and no, I didn't go around setting fire to peoples houses and cars. I did not loot from shops. I did not have the most up to date trainers, mobile/cell phones were not even invented when I was younger, I had no pocket money and ALL my clothes were hand-me-downs. Where I lived, it was slum and the places were eventually deemed unfit for human habitation and knocked down.

Spray the fuckers with hoses, let them get soaking fucking wet and cold and then they will go home.

Stop pandering to them because it is not THEIR possession or livelihoods or threats to their lives that is at stake here.

They tried to set fire to a car with a baby IN it for crying out loud, they have set fire to homes not giving a toss whether people are in there or not. They smash bus windows with passengers still sitting in there.

Do I have sympathy for those doing this? No, I fucking don't, they couldn't care less if anybody is hurt or killed, all they care about is having a good time at the expense of others. I DO however, care about the people on the street that are just trying to live their lives and trying to survive from day-to-day.

All these riots are nothing to do with how downtrodden and poor people are, it is to do with jumping on the bandwagon.

I think they may have met their match with some of the Turkish community though.

The students demonstrated recently,because the fees were being put up to unaffordable prices, making sure only the rich get a decent education from now on, but 90% of the WORKING CLASS all sat their and called the students good for nothing layabout scum.

Sounds just like the USA. Police have a very hard job,they don't get paid enough,they work long hours and get very little in the way of vacations from the streets = potential to loose their cool under pressure. They are only human.
I believe it is society's fault for Not supporting the police in a manner that would help them cope with a very tuff job.
People are very quick to blame the rioters, too. They often live in terrible tenements,and have no future prospects for college/jobs/living improvements. Anyone of any color would be discouraged,angery and on the razor's edge in this situation-so don't jump in with the negative racial crap!
