BTW, I'm serious about wooden bats for skull bashing. When I was teaching one of my kids how to hit a ball, I accidentally hit her in the head with an aluminum bat. She had a nice big lump on her head, but the ER doc told me if I'd hit with a wooden bat, I would probably have fractured her skull. Moral of that story: don't stand too close to Mommy during batting practice.

Absolutely, one has to be careful embedding the nails- Not too far sticking out out of the bat or the nails will embed too deeply into bone or clothing, thus making it difficult to use repeatedly as a berserker weapon and not so many nails that the structural integrity of the wooden bat is compromised, tearing apart along fracture lines after too many impacts.

However, an aluminum bat with drill holes and nails welded onto it with a TIG welder... absolutely devastating.

Europeans complain about Americans and our guns yet they're ready to beat each other over the head with bats.
