First, you can tell when the feds are lying to you. The story changes several times. They usually start with a story that is easy to disprove, like the egg story. Any moran with a magnifying glass can check that one out. When the first story is proven to be a lie, they move on to the next one, and so on, and so on.
Second, the Charger in Bullet was a '68 R/T with a 440 magnum. For years, I assumed the way it walked away from the 'stang that it was a hemi, but it was not. They didn't actually hobble the car, they just told the driver to keep the Mustang in sight. That's why they had to cut the scene so many times, to get them closer, and make it look like the 'stang could keep up. Having owned over a dozen '68 Chargers, I always look for stuff like that. My current one is a '68 Charger R/T with a 496 stroker. It ain't pretty, but it hauls ass.
