GOLD WILL NEVER REACH $1900! | |
Punk-A$$ets (OP) User ID: 1410297 United States 08/10/2011 07:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think we are close to a bubble in gold, yes. Bet youre all surprised. Gold will likely still double and triple or "whatever" from here. The rise is nowhere near done IMO. Margin hikes will kill this rally short term I think. Then gold might trade sideways for a long time. There isnt anything to make gold go down that i can see, short of some serious deflation that gold cant even thwart. But that means oil at $30 and much cheaper living and thats a good thing for my customers. So, I win anyway. In the end, I have made enough money already so that if the whole "gold" thing comes down its fine with me. I took profit the whole way up. Most didnt. Quoting: Punk-A$$etsI don't think you have a clue, by your posts through this thread. You bounce around idea to idea that best fits the time you are..... I dont have a clue. You're right about that. And neither does anyone else. Why else would I be 50% gold and 50% cash as I have so often said here and every other forum I belong to? I think it would be insanity to be all in cash. I think it would be insanity to be all gold. In my opinion I am playing things as safely as one can. Damned if you do and damned if you dont. Wo knows the future? No one. But the problem with that paper is that the trend is devaluation. Not just here but globally. I no longer have faith in any paper anything. It's a tough situation we're in. I'd probably figure out some other asset to be in besides cash. Like maybe put in a solar system or windmill... Anything but paper. Yes, but remember what I do with that paper. Its the dry powder I buy the dips in gold with. I have no doubt that the FED will succeed in creating runaway inflation. Thankfully our biz is once again going gang busters. On the next correction (gawd, i hope soon) I'll have a serious new stash. Most people chase the highs. I buy the very lows and if my initial low isnt right, I buy again on the further low. This method has served me well so far. |

Punk-A$$ets (OP) User ID: 1410297 United States 08/10/2011 07:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Three weeks ago I bought 2 Random year american eagles. The price over spot was 'as low as' 73.99 at that time(on apmex.com). Quoting: MojofabulousToday those very same types of coins, on apmex, are selling for 97.99(over spot). That is an increase in price of $24 PER COIN over just three weeks, all for the privilege of being able to hold your physical. If this increase is a simple function of supply and demand then the message is clear: Supply is falling. But is it really? Or is it just one oz eagles (or whatever type of round that are scarce)? We could buy klios and 10 oz bars a lot cheaper. Who's got the money for a bunch of those? In 2010 major players(governments international banks) added around 75 metric tons to their inventories. This year so far they have added 210 metric tons as of like a month ago. I saw the comex inventories as of May and they were very very very very low. June and July are supposed to be the heavy buying months. I have been unable to find a current inventory graph. I'd be delighted if someone could show us current inventories. Yeah, I got caught up in the COMEX inventories years ago and its just never played out to a default. I'm not saying it wont happen but I stopped following it. |

Just a slowly increasing rate of extra cost to own the physical. That bump in fee cost at apmex is a 25% increase over just three weeks. Gold has gone up in price a little under 10% since then. So we're talking about a 15% hike in the fees associated with owning the physical. Modern Earthquake Activity: Thread: UPDATED 10/23/11: Earthquake activity from 1990-2011 charted. Pin for education! Drizzt User ID: 1500149 United States 08/10/2011 07:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | George Soros announced not long ago that he was selling his gold, in what I'm sure is/was an attempt to lower the value so he could scoop it up. Quoting: DrizztMy question is, "was that his entire hand or does he still have a card or two to play"? He obviously wasn't successful in lowering the price just by announcing that he was selling. Perhaps this meltdown isn't what was intended by tptb. At least not this bad, this quick. I include George in the category of tptb. It's nice to picture him shitting his pants. Wishful thinking? He sold his paper gold because he knows (like anyone else that has done 10 minutes of research)that the GLD has sold more Gold certificates than they hold in physical metal. History repeats itself..........over and over and over again. I'm aware that paper gold isn't worth the paper it's printed on. However that wasn't my question. He announced with intent. He doesn't go public with announcements unless he has an angle. He probably doesn't wipe his own ass unless he gets something for it. It's the same thing when he said (pay close attention) "That Gold "will be" the ultimate bubble" And what did the MSM do with that quote ? They published it as "Gold is in a bubble" 2 different quotes. It's all an attempt by the money printers to control the stampede out of their "legal Tender" that "they" control and print. Agreed, but it didn't appear to work the way he intended, since gold is still on the rise, and people are still buying. So one possible conclusion is that tptb are losing control of this moneystrosity "they" created. The real question in a nutshell is this,"is he shitting his pants or not"? I wait, I watch and I hope, but my hands are near to my blades. |

No, you didn't realize that. Now that gold is no longer under $1764, its nice linear path rising up has become a parabolic trajectory. Expect gold at $64,000 an ounce by the close of 2012. Expect it to close this year at $12,000 an ounce. Only in darkness do you find light, Only in bright do you find night.
