Your thoughts on the series "Twilight"
I read the series "Twilight", and found them to be very well written. I love to read, I'm not a teenager, but enjoyed reading them anyway. I have not seen the movies. Since, the movies have been coming out I have been seeing a new trend, maybe not so new.

Teenagers have a new game they are playing and it comes from these series. They are running around acting like vampires. One group will be on Edwards side and one group will be on Jacks side. Edwards side bites, I'm not saying nibbling, I'm saying bites; breaking skin, leaving teeth marks because they are vampires. They say they are vampires.

I work in an apartment community and are having to evict several persons with teenagers who are going around calling them selves vampires and biting others. This week has been, hell. Does anybody else see this trend? Is it happening in your area?

Well written ? All she did was use a thesaurus to describe a simple sentance that didn't need it! You need to read a good book, are you twelve ?

Always felt like she picked upon on a cultural thing going on in role-playing over the internet, etc. (Cyber sex and all the "vampires are sensitive on the inside" crap.) I read somewhere she got the idea from a dream - likely story.

Stupid books, stupid movies, stupid kids with stupid parents.

People who watch this shit need to be fucking sterilized.

I saw a fat chick wearing a team edward shirt the other day, I thought about how she needs to walk into oncoming traffic and rid the world of another moran.

I grew up watching "Dark Shadows."

I don't know how the biting compares....
but Edward Cullen is much more attractive
than Barnabas Collins. ;-)

But the most attractive of all is the One
Mrs Putina spoke about several years ago. hf

Re: Your thoughts on the series "Twilight"
My thoughts? I try to not think about it. I know of teens who are in therapy because they believe they are werewolves or vampires.
Never mind.

Re: Your thoughts on the series "Twilight"
Twilight and True Blood are ghey.

They both took the thunder from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which revolutionized the way people think about Vampires and the paranormal, especially as they relate to teenagers and young adults.

Buffy is classic, academic.

Twilight and True Blood are derivative, weak and disposable.

If you thought the original movie was good, you have very serious mental problems. Though, hints of Whedon's Genius can be found in that piece of crap.

Luke Perry, 44, is playing a Teenager.
Kristy Swanson is way too butch.
Paul Reubens takes you out of the film with his hammy over the top air-quote "performance"

The movie is pants from start to finish.

Anyone who doesn't like the TV show has not seen the TV show.

I know, I know... no one will engage me here.

So I might as well leave. :(

But the irony is...
I first thought this topic was aimed at me.

Which proves... even a 'holy fool' can be wrong. ;-)

Re: Your thoughts on the series "Twilight"
OP, the books actually are very well written. I studied the sentence structure, vocabulary, diction and syntax as well as dialogue, and I believe they are we'll done.

They were meant to be read by a large audience, specifically teenagers. But like Harry Potter, the books transcend ages.

Ignore the rude posters. They are still poor peons while Stephenie Meyer and J.K. Rowling are gazillionaires.

Re: Your thoughts on the series "Twilight"
I think that those books are Demonic.

Albeit not overly demonic, but it is what it is.

Look, just go to the book store and look at the young adult section. If it's not about sex, vampires, undead, sorcery, demons, or other evil crap then it's not going to be found in the Young Adult section.

We got to make it easy for the antichrist when he comes, this is the way to do it.
