They see one video of a bad cop and they think all cops are evil jerks who want to hurt people. That's being a sheeple to the media. How about commen sense and reasoning, but no you have to believe what is fed to you, again by the media. You people claim to be awake, bullshit. You all are using talking points. A man who had shot a person earlier in the day and was in a police chase, in excess of 100 mph on the freeway. The police not wanting to risk people lives in the police chase called it off after several minutes. Later that day the suspect walked up to the officers car and shot him in the face twice. Unprovoked attack, this is why some cops are on the defense. And the reason they take people down with such force is to quickly mitigate the risk. If they struggle for seconds or minutes things can turn sour very quickly. You are the one who is asleep my friend, IF an officer dies no remorse from me for that scumbag..... The fucking few are good, and the majority are devilish inbred retards power tripping because they were high-school homos. Show me a statistic that they are inbred retards and high school homos. How many cops do you know. Did you evenw atch the video? Statistics are for fools like you........ |

That out of control freak should be fired ASAP. Z It is not power that corrupts but fear. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1500225My sister lives in SLC Utah. She had to call the police to have a drunk abusive boyfriend removed. She had been drinking as well. The cops removed her boyfriend then came back twenty minutes later and attempted to rape her. She screamed at the top of her lungs (too bad for the cops she wasn't as drunk as they thought she was) and attracted neighbors and the attack stopped. Did the police dpt do anything? What do you think? No. Because they've been given the green light... go on and attack others at will and you have our support. They have a responsibility to maintain composure and not be violent assholes beating the shit out of people. The lady in the video didn't resist arrest, she was walking toward the police car, she just didn't want their hands all over her. She had a right to be annoyed with them. That's like saying a parent can beat the shit out of their child for mouthing off to them because the asshole child shouldn't be mouthing off to them. This lady was handcuffed when the police animal assaulted her. You pointed it out, just because you are arrested doesn't mean you should treat the cop like god. I mean, its not like she spit on him, and they weren't carrying her. She was just pissed off, she wasn't a danger, that's what cuffs are for. Talking back is not resisting. They also took a valuable experience, in fact what the whole (alleged) justice system is about. Maybei she needed to be arrested so she could have that powerful first-hand epiphany of looking back at the event, bring humiliated at her own mistakes that evening, and REFORM and REHABILITATE! Now instead of straightening her life out she's wasted, bitter and more rebellious from the emotional consequences of the cops letting steam and 'beefs' out on her. Instead of shepherding her into jail or safety (in my opinion the true ideal cops should try to attain to) and guiding her they completely derailed her. She was proceeding with them to the cop car. You can see it very clearly if you just watch all the way til the end. It was more like she was being annoying, and the cap was spiteful. He very definitely DID deliberaty smash her face in. If he could legally he would have killed her right there, you can see the maliciousness obviously and that is what mqkes it wrong and far beyond what the law actually requires. |

We all know police are under pressure, and depending upon where they work, they need to be vigilant. But the VAST majority of officers live and work in mellow communities. In my state the only officers killed have been in Seattle and the surrounding neighborhoods, and it has been very infrequent. Nowhere else in the entire state are they in danger, at least any more danger than the citizens living in the community. Yet, the officers have become noticeably robotic and cruel through they years and especially the last decade. In fact, in Everett WA something like five people have been killed by the police in the last couple of years! The police are dangerous, far more than they are in danger. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1461369 08/13/2011 01:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well 100-200 officer die every year in the line of duty. Its a shame you can't see both sides. I don't know why those people died, the circumstances dictate the outcome. Everyone has a choice, including the police and your choice will influence their choice. The police either do too much or not enough, that is what the people belive, even though they don't get the full story. I just don't choose to believe cops are bad, just because they wear a uniform. |

They chase suspects with measly pistols, while they weild semi automatics, shotguns bullet proof vest, modified cars, communications and much more... This is not Mexico where cops have pistols and the thugs have rpg's and turrets mounted on pickups Our officers should be well trained, in shape, and mentally sane... have you seen the shit we have for a police force..... fucking overweight cops with massive guts, cops that rape civilians like the two in NYC who raped a woman, and got the rape charge thrown out, cops that beat their wives the list goes on The few are good and the majority are so out of touch with reality. |
