A garden is that very special place, where you and God can touch
There Her wonders will She show you, if you’ll ask Her for such
If you will love your garden, as much as you hold Her dear
Then She will show you how life should be, in less than a year

Picking just the right spot for your garden, is especially critical
It needs the right amount of sunlight, not too much or too little
Ample morning sun, then cooling shade in the afternoon heat
Will produce the best results, for your seedlings to compete

Till the soil deep to give your seedlings roots a good foothold
This enhances their resilience, so they can grow tall and bold
Adding the right amount of fertilizer, will give them an advance
So as they are developing, their future will have a better chance

When you are sowing your seeds, be sure to give them plenty of room
So as they are developing, they will be able to stretch and then bloom
Nurture your precious seedlings, giving them generous care and attention
Removing the weeds from around them, for they thrive better with affection

When your seedlings start maturing into adult plants, and blooming
Just sit and watch the bees going from flower to flower, pollinating
You will see all kinds of little garden bugs, dancing from leaf to limb
Especially little Lady Bugs and Butterflies, fluttering off on a whim

Watch your seedlings as their flower turns into something very precious
Whether tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, or anything else just as delicious
When they are fully matured, then you’ll harvest the fruits of your labor
To savor for many days to come, while making you stronger for the future

God has given us a special gift, but you must nurture it from its conception
For a garden belongs not only to you, but also to God, for it’s Her creation
But this little toad wonders if anyone can see the concealed message herein
That a child is the fruit of two people’s labors and is thus, their life’s garden
