Fear does not come from God. If these posts instill fear, then you can probably say that they do not come from God. Prophecy is meant to edify the church. God speaks to His people through His holy word.

These supposed prophecies are doom-mongering and ambiguous at best. Any number of scenarios could unfold that resemble these posts. The method used here is not scriptural. OP has not aligned any scripture with these so-called prophecies.

I remain very skeptical. If God wanted to speak to us this way, there would be absolutely no room for misinterpretation or error and it certainly would not instill fear and dread to the body of Christ.

God speaks to us (present tense) through his Word. In the Word, we find his thoughts and ideas, and as we study it and meditate on it, they become ingrained in us. We no longer need a voice, we have God’s mind. The Holy Spirit helps us in this regard, to remember the word and apply it when we need it. Sometimes he causes certain scriptures to stand out at particular times. This is how God speaks to us today.

But this is just too simple for some Christians. Many think that because we have the indwelling Holy Spirit, we hear directly from the throne room of God, and many use this to justify the most bizarre of revelations. How I wish the average charismatic Christian could develop just half a brain so they can see through some of their fallacious and malicious leaders.

We often look for God to move in an out of the ordinary manner. We often miss the supernatural looking for the spectacular. God speaks to us today through His written Word. We must read it, study it, meditate on it. When we do so, logically we learn more of His mind. Then the Holy Spirit makes that Word applicable to us at the right times.

Destructive Charismatic Church

The extreme teachings practiced by some churches within the Christian Charismatic movement have serious implications. Some of the particulars of these churches should be closely scrutinized.

Consider the following:

Extra-biblical Revelation. Much of our belief system was based upon supposed "words of the Lord," without supporting Scriptures to validate the teaching. Those who believed the "revelations," were in the inner circle. Those who did not, were frowned upon as somehow "spiritually immature." The founder of Mormonism Joseph Smith had his own personal revelation, which had no clear confirmation within the bible. But of course he explained this away, by telling his followers that he brought forth a hidden gospel, an actual addition to supplement the New Testament. This kind of personal revelation seems to be becoming increasingly common within some extreme Charismatic groups.

Strong resistance to Scriptural authority. Any attempt to correct a leader/teacher involved with this type of extreme Charismatic church, often is met with stonewalling, excuses, or anger. They may say, "How dare you presume to question doctrine coming from the pulpit." Those who do are frequently labeled as in the "outer court" or "immature." For example, in my own experience with churches influenced by the Brownsville Revival and Toronto Blessing camps this actually led to the demonizing those who disagreed.

Esoteric knowledge. Only for those who reach the higher "levels" of understanding. One of my pastors would not openly share his "knowledge" with just anyone. Instead, this was to be shared only with the enlightened, which really meant those who agreed with him.

Unreasoning disregard for contrary evidence. Any evidence brought into the light that contradicted an experience, vision, prophecy, or doctrine, which supposedly came from God, was completely disregarded. People simply refuse to discuss the situation intelligently, react in anger, avoidance and/or fear.

Fear. People become locked into accepting almost anything, because to question or disagree with the group's doctrine, was tantamount to questioning God. For example, when I left my church I found myself very afraid that God was angry with me and that I would lose His blessing. It was very difficult. One pastor I knew of a destructive Charismatic church told his flock, "If you question anything going on in this church, just watch out!" This fear-inducing admonition was preceded by his recitation of the account within Acts 5 about Ananias and Sapphira, who dropped dead after lying to the Lord. There are many other traits amongst some destructive churches, which mirror those found in cults, but those cited above will suffice for now.

These words given by the OP are not new but confirmations of what the OP and others have been hearing for the last little while. What concerns me is people will not take them seriously because of the naysayers out there. "We've heard it all before" and "Where is He you speak of". Like the Ark, many will believe but it will be to late when they do.

I too believe what has been written and feel time is getting very short before all hell breaks loose. The "Day of the Lord", I sense, is very near.







Look at the birthing pains (troubles) of the world. They are getting so much closer and closer as time speeds forward. There is your sign!

If you are not one of the two witnesses, this makes you a liar.

Scripture says the next prophets will be the two witnesses.

If you read any scripture at all, you would understand you are a false prophet.

Best read some scripture to find out what Christ does with false prophets after his return.

I believe this is very possible...

as do many scientists!

Your posts have been a major catalyst in leading me back into the grace of God, and there are most definitely others like me, lurking on GLP, who have been affected by your posts.

To the brothers & sisters who are throwing the firey darts, I'd ask that you humbly accept that God ISdoing a great work through the OP's posts, and that even if you disagree with him(OP) God IS able to use the OP to bring people like me unto salvation.

OP has taken no glory for himself and constantly points to Jesus as being the route to salvation, so maybe a little less self-righteousness and nitpicking and a little more prayer for more people to come to salvation would be the greatest thing that you could contribute on this side of eternity.


To the naysayers, please take the time to actually READ the OP's posts before making nonsensical statements.
