At my lunch break today, I was reading from the book of the prophet Amos, and was struck by this verse:

The earth will tremble for your deeds,
and everyone will mourn.
the ground will rise like the Nile River at floodtime;
it will heave up, then sink again.
Amos 8:8 (New Living Translation)

and again.....

The Lord, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies,
touches the land and it melts,
and all its people mourn.
The ground rises like the Nile River at floodtime,
and then it sinks again.
Amos 9:5 (NLT)

Sounds like an earthquake. The ground trembles, rises, falls, and even melts - the "melting" is liquefaction, wherein certain types of soil behave as liquid under heavy shaking... whole buildings can be swallowed in a moment.

Another lovely day in Southern California...

Just once, just once it would be nice if one of these prophecies from a credible source, could give the date, time, and epicenter of the next big quake. Especially for those of us with kids. It would be nice to take an out of state vacation at the opportune moment.

Yellowstone isn't looking good with what I am hearing.

And the U.S. took a hard proton hit today. Don't know what that means with earthquakes but this is what I saw on the nict charts.

Wish that were the case too (to know exactly when a quake is going to hit). However timelines are ever changing and usually NOT given in warning messages. ( and prayer can mitigate, delay or avert warnings such as these.) I study prophetic messages and over the past 50+ years this usually is the case (no timelines given).

For example, the warnings of Japan for an upcoming megaquake and tsunami were in Our Lady of Peace messages (through Pedro Regis). It had been mentioned several times in these message for more than 5 years. No dates or times were given but the warnings were there. Did Japan (or anyone in Japan) heed these messages? The answer appears to be no. (Our Lady of peace has a fantastic track record of warnings of natural catastrophies).

As to living on major faultlines, one must be prepared with emergency kits and a way to bug out if necessary (and of course pray you are not in harms way when one hits).

How exactly do you respond if you don't know when? We need to live where the jobs are, we have elderly relatives trapped here, kids' school, etc. We can't just randomly uproot from California on the assumption of a disaster "someday", and anyway that might only mean exchanging the earthquake for a volcano or a tornado...

A quake for sure in 30 days commands a very different response than a quake in that maybe will happen in 30 years.

Life here is very fragile. You are right. All kinds of extreme weather threatens us not to mention wars, theives, murderers and a host of other dangers. The only remedy is to trust completely in the Lord Jesus. As he said, even if you die in this life, yet shall you live!

I find it sad that humanity has built all these huge settlements on areas that are prone to major earth changes.

I remember last year when we visited California San Diego area I was not comfortable knowing that we were basically on the San Andreas fault. I was relieved when we returned home safely.

Downgraded from over a 7 to a 6.8 by the USGS. And they have had several aftershocks, one being a 6.1.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the first quake was magnitude 6.8 and the second was 6.1 off the coast of Chiba just east of Tokyo. No damage or injury was reported, according to The Associated Press, after an aftershock of 5.9 magnitude followed.

The earthquake on Wednesday was located on Hokkaido island, 146 miles south of Kushiro, Japan, six miles below the sea surface. The quake did not affect Tokyo nor has there been a Pacific-wide tsunami warning.

The earthquake resulted in small tidal waves on the Pacific coastline, the region where a devastating earthquake and struck Japan last year.

Otsuchi, along with several others towns, issued a precautionary evacuation order to homes along the coast before the initial earthquake, according to prefectural disaster management official Shinichi Motoyama. Tsunami advisories were lifted just over an hour after the second quake, though the JMA warns those fishing, swimming and activities of the like should remain cautious as there are still slight shifts in the sea-level.

"Residents in a small southwestern New Brunswick community may continue to feel minor earthquakes for several more days or even weeks, according to a Natural Resources Canada seismologist.

McAdam has been hit with four small earthquakes since Saturday in what is known as an “earthquake swarm.”

“Certainly we are seeing what we are calling an earthquake swarm,” said John Adams, a seismologist with Natural Resources Canada.

I just realized last year Japan had a 7.3 on the 9th of March, then on the 11th is when the 9.0 happened. I wonder if this is going to be a repeat this time.

Seismologists saw a big jump in the number of earthquakes in Oklahoma last year. More than 1,000 quakes were recorded in 2011 -- ten times the average number of 100 a year.

Last year also produced the strongest quake in the state's history -- a 5.6 magnitude tremor in Lincoln County -- in November.

I don't know if there is any truth to this but I will post it anyways. I just thought it was another interesting scientific "prediction". There are sooo many predictions for March 22nd lately. Any how this message says he reckons, lol. Got this off another website. It is someone's prediction or "guesstimation" of what could happen around March 22nd. Time will tell.
