My point is not to prove or disprove the existence of God or gods.

Astro-theology does not confirm the bible, the bible confirms astro-theology. Which do you think came first?

I realize that, have most of my life. As a former bibletard of a certain cult which shall remain nameless, I remember at the ripe old age of 10 arguing with my neighbor, who was 9, why his brand of christianity was pagan and mine was true. Funny isn't it what brainwashing can do to the human mind...

The thing is, we can discount the ramblings of children and their exploration of new material that wanders through their minds, but once you become an adult... need I say more.

The Greek scholars and philosophers studied in Egypt, however, thier mythology (Greeks) more closely resembled the Near east than Egypt. This is interesting as Egypt derived their myths from the Sumerians.
