A bit later in the city of Babylon alone there were no less than 200 active unique religious groups!

It was the first instance of using the notion of "divide et impera" that I have found in the history books. Religions were used to muddy the "waters of truth". By having the population split into diverse minorities, fear of united uprising to upset TPTB was effectively nullified. Brilliant.

Hence, Babylon is referred to the the mother of religion and aptly "The Great Harlot".

One of the greatest people to have cut the bullshit was Moses. It's no wonder the israelites had the most refined version of uncut truths since they were intimate with both Babylon *and* Egypt,- THE movers and shakers of religion bar none, and their records of the past, the israelites themselves having served in the highest echolons of power under their relative masters of the time.
