British Double-Standard - Cameron pledges to look into SHUTTING DOWN SOCIAL MEDIA IN THE UK!

Although the UK has long criticised countries like China, Iran, and Libya for web and social media censorship, British MPs and also PM Cameron have pledged to look into possibly blocking or shutting down social media services during selected periods of time. Cameron has already told Parliament:

"Free flow of information can be used for good. But it can also be used for ill. So we are working with the Police, the intelligence services and industry to look at whether it would be right to stop people communicating via these websites and services when we know they are plotting violence, disorder and criminality."

Even China's People's Daily is pointing their finger at the UK for being hypocritical and with reference to internet censorship in China and other countries "they [the UK] can't complain about it."
