I am sure some tobacco lobbyist will stop this. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1490846But it's for the healthcare - I am sure we will hear that phrase again from the last time. Where did that money really go? A lot of good it did. |

Legal almost everywhere. Start early in spring around Feb. 1. in pots indoors. Mist daily. Put in garden when plants are tough enough to grow on their own. |

A bill is in the Senate with major increases in the taxes on tobacco products. Quoting: BritEsqOne part of it is raising the tax on pipe (actually cigarette) tobacco from $2.83 per pound to just short of $50 dollars. Cigarettes are going up too. From $50.33 to $100.50 (1) PIPE TOBACCO (thick cut cigarette tobacco labeled as "pipe" tobacco to circumvent cigarette tax)- Section 5701(f) of the IRS Code of 1986 is amended by striking ‘$2.8311 cents’ and inserting ‘$49.55’. [link to www.govtrack.us] They are relentless. Smoke 'em if you got.....uh.... can afford them. AND EVERY OTHER EXCISE TAX ON THE BOOKS WOW RONNIE RAYGUN RAISED TOBACCO TAXES TWICE |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1504799 United Kingdom 08/14/2011 01:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There must be some sort of exclusion for cigars. I buy a pack of filtered cigars for a buck sixty. They look just like cigs but have brown paper. This is in a state where the piece of shit ex Governor promised not to raise any taxes. He collected a buck per pack on cigs but called it a fee. Now he is running for president, the lying piece of crap. |

Thanks... The Good Stuff pipe tobacco is highly rated and best price, comes by the pound (lb) and stores very well (over a year in cool/dark) Tobacco plants are super easy to grow, once they get past the teensy seed/baby stage. They have nice flowers and each plant that you let flower makes thousands of seeds! |

A. Smoker User ID: 1481531 United States 08/14/2011 02:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They are using the money to pay for education for retards. "To amend part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act to provide full Federal funding of such part." Yea, they want me to pay for that shit. They want to save lives? Really. Suicide rates will go up since that is the last affordable smokes out here. That will push a lot of people right over the edge. The non-smoking Congress obviously has no fucking clue what its like to live out here in tobacco land. Everyone I know smokes like it's still 1959. They ALL smoke pipe tobacco and have a hard time paying for that even at times. I know the game plan is to tax it until its gone out of society. They think they are making the world a better place. They are not. They are robbing us of a cherished freedom of choice and spitting on a fine American tradition. Tobacco built America.Life without cigarettes will be bland indeed. Get out of that UN treaty you use as an excuse for ripping us off. And quit with the talk about saving lives... tobacco is about the least harmful vice out there. You want to save lives? Cut the military budget and spend that money on retards. That I would agree with. |

Each rep must have residence within the state they are from, thus they would have to pay the new voter tax on their income to keep them honest. |
