But what are you going to do about it?
People are starving or soon will be, and you can complain that people are supposed to do for themselves, but most people here know that the average person isn't allowed to do that.

Buy a farm you say?

Become self sufficient you say?

How, by robbing a bank?

No, the strength of the people is in a group. Get together and make a plan, then follow through.

Trinity got a project going for a telescope and raised enough money that cleaver people could buy hundreds of cheap Nevada acres and irrigate it.

Then people could live on the land and get by until things improved. It would take work and cleverness, but it could be done.

Because the power of the group is greaser than the power of the one.

But what are you, personally going to do about it? My guess is probably sit back and do nothing much, until you have no resources and you have to beg at someone's door for table scrapes.

This is ranty, and I've said it before, but "they" can't win if we're all together. Even a group of a few hundred is a lot more powerful than you alone will ever be.

So what are you going to do to help yourselves and others?

I'm not trying to be a defeatist, as I believe we should be a more sharing and caring organisim. Sadly the intrenched and highly corrupt hierarchies and their fake beliefs, doctrines and order systems all follow very different, divisive and conflicting social, religious and political ideologies. All designed to control and exploit those beneath them.

While some know this is wrong (many feel and know it deep inside), that things should and could be so much better,.. more fair, more inclusive and egalitarian, others are simply unable to break free from their personal belief systems and their inherant dogmas, that have been seeded and re-enforced from birth and onwards.

Having worked in both the west in the corporate world and then humanitarian development in Africa, I realise that humans are far more predicatible than they realise. Having tried to set up many cooperatives and collective programs..people especially unchecked tend to revert back to hierarchal order systems and practises.

This is why the world of humans is already so messed up. The rich and the elites of our world could end global poverty and division tomorrow if they wanted too..but false ego, greed and indifference shows otherwise.

You see the problem is the hole deal about hierarchies. Once they are set up they create false values systems that people are judged or judge themselve by. The rich (or those climbing the ladder) spent their live either emassing their fortunes and position in these delusional systems often competing and fighting eachother..therefore many people now have no ability or intension to either share or care. The rich especially ..they only set up charities and foundationsto promote their their own name and ideals to re-inforce their positions and status and use these organisation to their advantage.

The day everyone (especially the elites) wake up to this reality and decided to collectively change it..we are doomed to repeat both the historical and current tyranny of hierarchies.

So keep spreading the massage, but somehow we need to get the people at the top to listen and understand too..as it is clear they in their lofty towers are as completely lost and deluded as we are, but are destroying our planet because of false ego and fear LOL?

Re: But what are you going to do about it?
I agree with the above poster 100%. I have seen much the same thing in life, without the added value of personal work in Africa.

What I'm suggesting though is that we do an end run around the government, a covert program to aid people in helping themselves.I don't know if the human animal can do that for long, but giving up or simply letting go and flowing with the system in place won't help either.

It may be a moot point, maybe the best I can do as a person is help myself and a few others.

But if we all agree to try and change, or at least enough of us try, then it might do something. If not, the net lose for each person is a small one.

For years I thought I would have a place or a function in educating people about the nature of conciousness and reality (tm) during the "end times" when people might be ready for that.

Boy, do I feel like an idiot now!

WHAT was I thinking??
Although it is not true that all conservatives are stupid,
it is true that most stupid people are conservative.

Re: But what are you going to do about it?
Getting a group together is easier said than done. Do your realize that most community living co-ops tend to fail? There are clashes of personalities, some people work harder than others, resentments come to the surface. Then you got people who join who want to steal everything, or outsiders that intentionally try to destroy the group. Getting a group together for a common goal is not that easy.
