Not Hinduism. The Vedas are not for "The Hindus". The vedas are for every man of every religion. Hindusim is an amalgamation of beliefs who worship various demi-gods. They do not believe in 1 supreme being.

How does this clash with Transmigration of the Soul? You can only die once, one cannot die many times in the same body. This is true, and it is true that after you die, you are judged by Yamaraj. But after this judgement, you are then directed to a new body based on the actions of the life you just lived.

I fail to see how in context of Transmigration, your quote disproves anything.

Great thread OP. I just got done listening to Delores Cannon on Red Ice radio. She is a hypo-therapist that does past life regressions and has some new and interesting theories about what is presently occurring on planet earth.

I have listened to her before but each time I listen again she makes more sense to me.

I have never really been interested in learning about my past lives mainly because I had all I could do with managing this one. I think that re-incarnation makes the best sense to me of all the religious beliefs, although I believe we may come from and go to other dimensions also.

If you do change bodies at the time of death, what is more important than understanding the process to eliminate the cycle of birth and death, old age and disease? There is nothing more important than the well being of your own soul. You cannot help anyone if you can't help yourself first.

I personally think, the christians have the most work to do, because their programmin doesn't allow even considering new information.

Yes according to Vedic knowledge, there are "Upper Planets" and "Lower Planets" which can correspond to other dimensions, as these upper and lower planets are not visible to us or our instruments.

You have had many fathers and many mothers, many sisters and many brothers, many wives and many husbands. A soul has no gender. It is a pure spark of consciousness.

Your loved one in this life, just like the previous lives, are just a material relationship.

But if in this life, you forge a spiritual relationship with that person, then your spiritual assets always remain intact. Because spiritual assets are eternal.

For example, if your father is the person in your life who gets you on the devotional path, then you two are eternally connected because it is a spiritual relationship, not a solely material relationship.

In the spiritual world he may not be your father, he may be your brother or dear friend. You do not remember your material relationships or your material lives in the spiritual world.

Lucky for me in this lifetime I seem to be learning by goodness.

I am lucky as well. Though earlier in my life when I was a little younger I was in learning in the mode of passion.

I am Christian. I didn't believe all this stuff until I remembered dying. It wasn't a fantasy.
Early Christians believed in reincarnation. It was believed until the council of Nicaea.

OP what do the Vedic's say about evil. I know the pagans believed in the Archon's, the Christians in the devil and the Muslims in the Ginn. Do the Vedics believe that there is an evil entity here on earth or does evil come from the "dark side" of human nature?

I remember existing before this lifetime. And coming into this life from another lifetime. The more I dug into the memory of the self, I realized that I have seen the birth and death of entire universes, and that the self was all that exists, everything else are it's thoughts and dreams forming reality.

There is no "Evil" entity that is competing with God according to the Vedas. God is omnipotent and does not struggle with anything. There is only the 3 modes of material nature. Depending on the mixture of the modes you are in, determines your behavior.

“Material nature consists of three modes — goodness, passion and ignorance. When the eternal living entity comes in contact with nature, O mighty-armed Arjuna, he becomes conditioned by these modes.” [ B.g 14.5]

These three modes control the activities of the pure living entity in this world based on their desires and permitted by their karma. It is very important to understand these three modes of nature and how they act upon a living entity; In the Bhagavad-Gita for our understanding Lord Krishna gives the symptoms by which one can recognize these three modes in a person.

“The manifestations of the mode of goodness can be experienced when all the gates of the body are illuminated by knowledge." [ B.g. 14.11]

“O chief of the Bharatas, when there is an increase in the mode of passion the symptoms of great attachment, fruitive activity, intense endeavor, and uncontrollable desire and hankering develop." [ B.g 14.12]

“When there is an increase in the mode of ignorance, O son of Kuru, darkness, inertia, madness and illusion are manifested.” [B.g.14.13]

Moreover he also explains that mode of goodness is purer than the other two modes of nature viz passion and ignorance, since in mode of goodness one develops knowledge.

“O sinless one, the mode of goodness, being purer than the others, is illuminating, and it frees one from all sinful reactions. Those situated in that mode become conditioned by a sense of happiness and knowledge.” [ B.g 14.6]

A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada says in his purport that mode of goodness is better than the others because in this mode one is able to see all the things in their right perspective and hence it gives chance to develop devotional service to Godhead. So if one wants to develop this Love for Godhead and become eternally blissful he has to work in order to maintain this mode of goodness and eventually transcend this. Modes of passion and ignorance are not conducive qualities for developing devotional service and hence they should be completely avoided.

Just like in order to become a Masters of Science one has to at least have a Bachelor’s degree, similarly in order to develop the transcendental love for Godhead one has to be situated in the mode of goodness at least, that is a pre-requisite. It is for this reason as Srila Prabhupada explains that the four regulative principles viz no meat eating, no intoxication, no gambling and no illicit sex have to be followed strictly for whoever is interested in spiritual progress. Since these four activities are considered to be the four pillars of sinful life and prominently are in the mode of passion and ignorance, avoiding them will help in cultivating the mode of goodness.

As explained by Lord Sri Krishna in Bhagavad-Gita, these three modes are constantly competing to gain supremacy

“Sometimes the mode of goodness becomes prominent, defeating the modes of passion and ignorance, O son of Bharata. Sometimes the mode of passion defeats goodness and ignorance and at other times ignorance defeats goodness and passion. In this way there is always competition for supremacy.” [ B.G. 14.10]

All these modes are manifested as part of this material world to reform our behavior. We are here because we desired to enjoy separately from God.

Like I said, an amalgamation of various beliefs is what many people call "Hinduism".

Even Vaishnavas are lumped in with Hindus, but Vaishnavas do not worship only demi-gods. They worship a supreme deity, even though they acknowledge the demi gods are his supreme servants.

It's like this. The Demi-Gods are the various servants of the supreme deity. One does not have to satisfy the individual demi-gods if you can satisfy the supreme deity. The demi-gods are automatically satisfied when you satisfy their master. The same way that all the leaves of a tree are nourished when you water the root of the tree. You do not have to water each individual branch or leaf.

Kind of like Zeus and the Gods of Olympus?
