feminism taught me this. think of all the myriad types of women and all of their differing backgrounds, religions, lifestyles, and idealogies. at some point, if you want equal pay for equal work or some other basic right, you have to put all that to the side for the cause that you can agree on.

as a targeted individual, i am now in a similar boat. TIs come from all walks and ways of life. We are united to stop our torture. We are not all friends, but we are learning to be professional, work together, and get the job done. And some of us, have become very good friends, even targets from wildly diverging backgrounds.

we are our only support. we are marginalized by everyone, but ourselves.

same deal with gays. this is why gays have gained so many rights in the last decades. different as peoples, united as gays.

common ground makes a movement.
