OP.....its not that you want to retain your memories.....memories are DEAD....done....cuz if you do,you are just chasing your tail.
What you do WANT to retain is your CONSCIOUSNESS.....that is part of you that is AWARE..aware of WHO you are, and when you are aware of just who you are.....you can't be fooled.....cuz then you are using universal consciousness....GOD CONSCIOUSNESS.
Nothing wrong with keeping your memories if that is what you want....serves no purpose though unless you are in the carnal mind of humanity.

Do what you will with your memories.....it is up to each of us to be the judge of that. Personality is not WHO you are. Your personality is what society (which are just cults....hence....culture)has you be-lie-ving YOU are. Personality is simply all you have picked up along the way and is useless, it is not WHO you are. When you drop all the personality traits of who you THINK you are, then you will see WHO YOU REALLY ARE....... Ahhhhhh......and when you do, you will feel relieved of the burdens you have been carrying trying to keep it all together. This is why most of humanity cannot find peace of mind and joy inside, carrying around a personality that is just plastic....
