Snow in the Philippines
LAOAG CITY - Mayor Salvador Pillos confirmed that rain of ice Marcos, Ilocos Norte yesterday.

According to information allegedly did to her, all villages in their country experienced the ice storm that lasted 40 minutes.

I hope the mayor with no ill effects the ice storm in the crops of his countrymen.

I believe the residents to significantly impact the great ice storm in the town of Mark.

apparently it snowed in new zealand too.

"Snow settled on the ground in central Auckland for the first time since 1939, and buses were cancelled, preventing commuters from going to work in the capital Wellington after its heaviest snowfall for half a century."

Would be very strange to see snow in the Philippines. I would expect most were wondering what was happening.

Re: Snow in the Philippines
It was not snow, rather ICE. It is not uncommon for severe weather systems to produce ice pellets, also known as hail. It DOES snow in some places in the Philippines, but only in very high elevations and not very often. Nothing to see here, no doom, move along.

Re: Snow in the Philippines
After one of the warmest summers on record in the US, people have been starting up the "global warming" crap again.

I can't wait for this winter, when it's colder than normal and people start screaming Ice age again like they did this spring.....

When are people gonna learn that there is no such thing as "normal" 250 years worth of recorded weather is like half a second of a movie, you just don't get the whole story of a 2 hour movie by watching half a second.....
You have to watch the whole thing, and even then what you take from it is still based on perception.

This morning it was in the mid 40s out in the open plain between Seattle and Mount Rainier. That's a wee bit on the early side here.

It's been a cool spring/summer with enough rain so that I haven't had to water the veggie garden too much. Hope we get the tomatoes harvested before the first frost.
