Re: *** To all RON PAUL detractors ***
I have a question for the Obama supporters in this thread...

Can you name one POSITIVE thing he has done for this country?

BTW, Ron Paul would DESTROY Obama in a debate. RP knows history, he understands economics, he understands the global political climate... Obama just (poorly) reads from teleprompter.

 Quoting: Unknown Subject

Obama saved the nation from collapse after inheriting a staggering mess where 800,000 jobs were being lost every month. The stimulus worked but would have worked better if it had been larger.

Obama finally got healthcare reform passed and KILLED BIN LADEN.

What has Ron Paul done? He's made himself a millionaire selling racist, conspiratorial newsletters to the militia/black helicopter crowd, which he REFUSES TO LET US READ BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO DAMNING.

Obama is an extremely well-read professor of constitutional law. RP is an unintelligent, inarticulate fanboy of Ayn Rand.

And what is this "teleprompter" crap??
Obama is by far the most articulate, rhetorically skilled president in several decades. Ron Paul sounds like an inarticulate rube by comparison.

I would pity Ron Paul in contest with Obama. It would a complete wipeout.

Please do nominate RP. I hope you succeed because he's about the weakest, worst republikan candidate imaginable.

I have some reservations about Ron Paul, but hands down, he is the best one for the job. I'm even in some heated debate with friends on facebook whether he is "electable" or not. I believe he is if we can get enough pressure on the media and enough attention to it at places like facebook. (Most people there think that Foxnews and God are synonymous.

Because he polls at 5% nationally, because his positions are wacko extreme and harmful to the bottom 90%, because he would get absolutely slaughtered in a debate with Obama and because he's TOO OLD AND FRAIL.

Name one single candidate in the running that is a better choice than RON PAUL and tell us why!
 Quoting: Freedom From Fiat

I like RP. He's my Congressman. The issue I have is his 'electability' in a national contest. He large on ideas, spot-on regarding the Fed and monetary policy, his head is in the right place. But in the world of television where appearance is everything to the uninformed voters, he is diminutive and doesn't command the respect of someone with larger charisma. As right as he is, so many do not take him seriously. On a national level, the conservative movement needs someone that can win or we get 4 more years of this marxist creep we have now.

I could be completely wrong, but the masses seem to ignore substance as proven by the last election. A moving speach matters. (meh...)

So, if you are conserned about defeating P'Bo in 2012, back someone you see the nitwitted public supporting that has the closest views to yours & remember no one is 100% and focus on the WIN so we can limit P'Bo's term.

RP would make be great at a number of appointed positions where he could make a real difference, vs. just steering the conversation.

My $0.02 fwiw....

cheers

It's an interesting fact though, that Ron Paul is Libertarian (at least he was when he ran for president back in '88), and still holds true to his principles.

The hard part, is getting him past the GOP primaries; since the media hates him, and the republican sheep usually just listen to faux news.

Though there's lots of testimonies of Democrats who are actually changing parties to vote for RP in the primaries; I hope more people like that step forward. The man can beat Obama easily; it's beating the other neocons he's running against that I'm worried about.

He is sweeping all the internet surveys where there is no media coverage. Ron Paul can get landslide votes. Stop saying you don't vote for him because he is not going to win. Exactly!

I believe Ron Paul did win the Iowa straw poll, however they most likely flipped the 49%/51%, as there are a few hundred votes unaccounted for.

However, a landslide vote cannot be covered up.

Ron Paul has made much ado about his proposed legislation, H.R. 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, which requires that the Federal Reserve System be audited by the GAO and Congress. (RonPaul.com) However, since the final year of the Bush administration, the U.S. financial system has been undergoing an audit by the IMF and World Bank’s Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP). Why has Ron Paul not informed his supporters of this IMF audit? Surely Congressman Paul knows about the IMF Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP). Congressman Paul is a member of the House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services, Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology, a member of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation and the Joint Economic Committee.

He is also a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Subcommittee on International Organizations, Human Rights and Oversight, the Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere. “The New Rulers of the World” reveals what happened to human rights and the economy of one Third World nation—Indonesia—when the IMF and World bank got involved. “Argentina’s Economic Collapse” tells the tragic story of Argentina, a wealthy country until its economy was taken over by the IMF.

Little wonder that the United States is on a fast track to Third World status should the IMF, instead of auditing the financial system, be directly intervening in the federal government. Why is Ron Paul silent about IMF oversight of the U.S. economy? Every action taken by the Federal Reserve has brought the U.S. closer to economic and monetary collapse. Jamaica’s currency collapsed after undergoing a lengthy IMF audit, and the U.S. is now on the brink of a dollar collapse. The Dominican Republic was audited by the IMF in 2001-2002 and the next year the financial sector crashed. In their report on the Financial Sector Assessment Program in the Dominican Republic, the IMF was careful to cover its tracks and to put the blame on the domestic banks’ fraudulent accounting practices, for which the IMF denied responsibility.

Let's not kid ourselves folks.. Ron Paul (FM) has been advocating revolution. He has taken over the Tea Party co-opting the entire movement into his revolution which is destined to turn violent.

Ron Paul is not alone, he is organising revolution as part of a greater conspiracy.. he has a lot of help. He had lots of help co-opting the Tea Party movement and has a great deal of support from several popular radio shows.

It is no accident or coincidence Ron Paul runs for president and everything and allowed to talk problems most Americans know exist such as the wars and abortion. Other candidates do not talk on these issues because ... Washington DC has been suppressing these true issues for many elections.

Why allow Ron Paul's revolution to talk these issues?

Ron Paul is allowed to use the election to organise the revolutionaries but there is no intention of him winning the election, and he knows this.

First lets make it clear Ron Paul is only running for president to gather support for the revolution not to actually win the election. Obviously he is up there in age and may be too old to even finish any presidency or be considered a candidate for that reason.

After Ron Paul drops out of the race he will do numerous radio interviews (like last time) and send all his supporters to the revolutionary cause these radio hosts are now also advocating.

When advocating violent revolution NEVER scare the people by telling them it will be violent. Always say "non violent" or reLOVEution. Sounds warm and fuzzy. However when things get moving violent factions will take over.

Let me make this perfectly clear - revolution will not improve this country. The problem running DC is too large even international and looking for an excuse to turn for the worse.

The best course of action is to expose the wickedness and corruption in DC causing their wars to lose support. They are already having a hard time getting enuff troops and have had to hire mercs like Blackwater. We also saw the last vaccination push fail with the bird flu debacale.

I do not advocate voting at all. Washington DC needs to lose support and all legitimacy. Elections only serve to legitimize DC.

Ron Paul like several radio shows he appears on is only interested in organizing revolution. His campaign is called REVOLUTION.

Any revolution would not improve things in this country but would usher in the long awaited martial law police state troops FEMA camps and worse.

You will not vote out the NWO.

Re: *** To all RON PAUL detractors ***
Calling Ron Paul a libertarian as a means of explaining his unelectability is ridiculous.

Ron Paul and Ron Reagan were friends and shared many of the same ideas and beliefs, right up until R. Reagan got sworn in as president. Heck, some of the things Ron Reagan was best known for (cutting taxes) were directly related to his own libertarian beliefs.

I know we could do worse with another Reagan, if RP followed suit and presided as Reagan did instead of as how his record (of 20+) years in congress suggests.

The tea party arm of the republican party won in 2010, not the neo-cons. Why is it that the neo-con part of the party seems to think they should get to choose the presidental candidate in 2012? Whomever they choose, other than Ron Paul, will face losing as most of the tea-party supporters will just stay home, or vote 3rd party, as they did in 2008.

Ron Paul is only unelectable as long as the media labels him that way. The other candidates are unelectable due to the tea-party anger over being rejected once again and because of their neo-con positions.

Stupid Shill,

Ron Paul is interested in restoring our Constitution, and it's protections of our personal liberties.

It is a peaceful revolution that will take place at the ballot box. It will improve things by tossing out a large percentage of the crooks.

We aren't voting to change the NWO. We are voting the throw them out of our government, and to stop their subversion of our nation.

TU, you must get tired of dealing with such foolishness. I love that salutation!..HAHAHA! "Stupid Shill,"

Can people really be that stupid and still be able to maneuver around the Internet? It's really amazing.
