Just to clarify what I was getting at last night.

Some wisdom is meant to be exclusive so that persons are inclined to do on their own the majority of the preliminary work required to benefit from the experience. It is the role of the teacher to reject some students for some teachings and certain teachings for some students.

In the west, I believe that most eastern practices facilitate the growth of the ego by raising kundalini energies in the paths of least resistence within individuals because westerners rarely accept being asked to do that which is hard and requires real obedience to a teacher (at this point they usually question the validity of what they are being told and find some excuse to dismiss the lesson and find another teacher or path), and many of the schools compound this problem with guru worship in the service of growing a brand.

What would be most beneficial to everyone is learning to grow their connection to God through the angels and natural world and some form of psychologically oriented self-analysis either from interaction with a therapist or evolved teacher with no stake in promoting any one set of practices over another.

I believe it is necessary to apply oneself to these for years, either as a child and teen in the course of one's upbringing, or after the fact as an adult who has recognized his own limitation to a part and seen the Dharma and the blessings of the Great Architect of the Universe.

All teachings amount to distraction in the human mind of the one who only serves his ego, connection to the heart of the world within oneself begins the path to connect to the mind of God, no wisdom is required, only the intention to craft ones Will in the image of Divinity.
