This is 2 years old you know...

GMOs are the way of the future for several important reasons. They use less pesticides, nitrogen inputs and carbon producing passes with farm machinery. Farmers love GMOs because of the advantages they give and the higher savings per acre because of these much smaller inputs.

Why don't you let the real farmers of America who give us our cheap bounty of agricultural products make their own choice when it comes to the type of crop they choose to produce.

If you don't like it then go to an organic farmers market and choose your favorite food that is certified grown in real cow shit and pay three times the price for your paranoid health concern.

Just leave the real farmers who provide the real world most of our real food we consume their option and right to grow what is right for them.

And in those two years the Commissioner just evaporated?

The Subject title of this thread was a real "Ah Ha" moment for me…
I could never understand how a guy almost no one heard of before, comes onto the scene and becomes President of the US.. He had little to no political experience and I had never seen or heard of him before he put his name on the Ballot to run for President.. That is NOT normal.

Early on in Obama's presidential race, I saw a show that documented Obama's vacation to Kenya when he looked to be in his 20's.. The bio they gave showed him as a man with little in the way of money, yet this "vacation" was documented by a film crew… Weird.. really weird… any of you ever have a film crew document a "vacation" you went on from start to finish? Mmm I didn't think so!

Then this same guy puts his name into the hat for President and then proceeds to travel the world, talking to political leaders from many countries…
who can afford that?
Better yet, who can get access to those leaders around the world the way he did, when in reality, the Presidential Campaign had pretty much another year to go..
Who knew he'd be President? Political Leaders from many of the countries he visited, don't give access to just anybody.. and I'm sure the other candidates, many of whom were far better known, would not have gotten access to these people. There had to be some big power opening doors for Obama to pull this off.
My first thought was, "I wonder who has financed this guy and guided his way to the White House?"

GMO's probably will be the way of the future, and that will be man's undoing! I believe this technology was initiated with all the best intentions to produce more food for the world than ever before. As with many things, this initial intent to do well for the world has degenerated to the intent of putting as much money in Monsanto's pockets as possible.
They add viruses, bacteria and chemicals of all kinds into the DNA portion of the seed to generate these bug and weed resistant crops. Monsanto has patented seeds for a huge variety of plants. They have bought out most seed companies, killing their competition and are "mafia like" in their zeal to ensure no natural seeds are out there being grown. They will sue any farmer who doesn't use Monsanto seeds for having even one plant on their property; even when it's proven that the natural seed farmer had the misfortune of living near a Monsanto grower whose seeds blew onto the natural seed farmer's property.

Monsanto doesn't care who they step on to get the top or who they endanger with their engineered seeds. Many people are generating allergies caused specifically by GMO's. Natural seeds are now being cross pollinated by GMO's by bees, birds, and butterflies and there is no way to turn that clock back.

People have immune systems that are being attacked by the foods grown from the GMO's; this is a cumulative problem in most cases but can cause major health problems very quickly for some; as our immune systems are being compromised.
I am amazed with your post above! Many farmers did get talked into using GMOs but once they bought into GMO's they are strong armed into staying with them. Many others have been strong armed into using GMO's just to keep their farms viable. There have been many documentaries and news clips about the issues related to GMO's and their hi handed methods of ensuring the farmers tow the Monsanto line. How can anyone still believe farmers are happy about the proliferation of GMO's?

Let the American farmers who actually grow the crops that you people so easily consume be the ones who decide what seeds and what imputes is best for their business. Why do you want to restrict the freedom of choice for the real farmers who produce most of the food we all take for granite. You want Ron Paul because of his Liberty mantra but you can't apply it to your own American farmer who's life is very dependent on the choice you guys want to restrict.
