The Dance

I have sent you my invitation, the note inscribed on the palm of my hand by the fire of living.

Just stand up quietly and dance with me.

Don't tell me you want to hold the whole world in your heart.

Show me how you turn away from making another wrong without abandoning yourself when you are hurt and afraid of being unloved.

Tell me a story of who you are, and see who I am in the stories I am living.

Show me you can risk being completely at peace, truly okay with the way things are right now in this moment, and again in the next and the next and the next...

I have heard enough warrior stories of heroic daring.

Tell me how you crumble when you hit the wall, the place you cannot go beyond by the strength of your own will.

What carries you to the other side of that wall, to the fragile beauty of your own humanness?

And after we have shown each other how we have set and kept the learn, healthy boundaries that help us live side by side with each other, let us risk remembering that we never stop silently loving those we once loved out loud.

Take me to the places on the earth that teach you how to dance, the places where you can risk letting the world break your heart, and I will take you to the places where the earth beneath my feet and the stars overhead make my heart whole again and again.

Show me how you take care of business without letting business determine who you are.

When the children are fed but still the voices within and around us shout that soul's desires have too high a price, let us remind each other that it is never about the money.

Show me how you offer to your people and the world the stories and the songs you want our children's children to remember, and I will show you how I struggle, not to change the world, but to love it.

Sit beside me in long moments of shared solitude, knowing both our absolute aloneness and our undeniable belonging.

Dear OP, this thread, when I read it, made me weep with the timeliness of the message and the content.

As with the above poster, I so tire with this world; the loss of integrity, the inability for connection at an authentic level, folks who are suffering where there is so much available to help...my soul hurts on a very deep level.

I have made my entire career one of fighting social injustice. Been a tough haul and I often wondered about my sanity with my choice.

After a particularly difficult choice last week, the usual refrain of "wtf is wrong with you, keep your friggin mouth shut!", ad nauseum, I was driving home, replaying my meeting, driving myself nuts, and worrying about my momentous decision on how to deal with it.

I saw four eagles. Then to distract myself, I turned on the radio, which I rarely do. The first words to come out were: Proverbs - Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city. Then a song about being still and knowing I'm with you.....

So, I am absolutely stunned.

My radio is permanently fixed to a rock channel. As I was about to shut my car off, the channel announced 106 fm, Hope. I am hardly a Christian, and in fact I usually, if truth be told, hold it in contempt and disgust. But somehow, I have somewhat softened my stance on it, and realise that my unseen helpers used what was at hand to drive home a point. (Still, I am blown away that the channel was changed)

I broke down.

If ever a message was sent to me, I know this was it. I have always seen myself as a warrior of sorts, and this incident has told me to just put the friggin sword down, and be patient for a bit, secure in my integrity and knowing that I am being protected and helped and to just hang on. So profound, and these words I type are far from conveying the enormity of the moment....

So to your message, I feel that the synchronicity of it is being transmitted to all warriors now, for whatever reason.

More confirmation for me, and I thank you.

Those who sometimes seem too be the most wicked of the bunch,
well they are the tender at heart.
Not yet realizing their warriors destiny, they let defeat become part of who they are...
Without even putting up a worthy struggle.

Why do we continue to look upon the world as something outside of nature, outside of Gods plan, this is not possible. It is for us to discern the wisdom each moment holds and understand that all that has transpired is for our benefit.

The involuntary journey of spirit into matter, is fraught will hardship, pain and despair when viewed from the limited constraints of human understanding. There is but One. It has been a necessary step in the evolution of consciousness, that has brought us to this point. Separation in fraught with pain, but reunion is the goal. Not a reunion of unconscious union, as we have experienced in the past, but one in which conscious choice, chooses the path of cooperation and unity, because the realization that this is the choice we are destined to make in our journey home.

Back to the garden as it once was is a regression to animal level consciousness. The unconscious expression or spirit manifesting in matter. No we have a much greater eventuality. One of conscious participation. When the conscious mind truly understands its place in the structure as a servant of the indwelling spirit rather than as a separate ego, a god unto it self, we will have achieved the purpose of a Self Aware God expressing itself through its creation. This will intail a more harmonious interaction between our selves and what some would call nature. rken
