The duality of Rand. Evil and Good. Fighting with himself. Ying/Yang
Even more intriguing, the fact that he can remember his "past lives". That according to some, we all have past lives.
Or, the way the "sheep" from his home town doubt the belief of evil things (trollocs etc.) They are just fables to scare us. Much like the "sheep" today.
