Your pic, while it demonstrates a heavy snowfall...ain't shit compared to Boston.

I had a two story house in Boston, and on several occasions, the snow drifts would reach up to the second floor windows! That, and it was colder than a witches tit

They all know a mini ice age or worse is imminent, separate and apart from the nasty CMEs that are possible from the sun over the next couple of years or so. They also know massive earth changes are imminent if all of the signs around us are any indicator. Just my two cents. I would read some of sickscents posts here regarding the subject. It will open your eyes.

I wonder if folks will bring in the tomato plants this time?

I am going to try to keep this simple since it's a prelim forecast for the winter and will be updated in October and December.
The basis of the forecast is on the prediction that a weak La Nina will be forming this fall and continuing through the winter. Last year, we had a strong La Nina with blocking over Greenland that lead to a very snowy winter across the Midwest and Northeast. While the pattern will be similar to last year, there will be changes in the pattern that will lead to the heavy snow areas shown on the map...."

April and May will be cooler and drier than normal, with May especially chilly.

Summer will be a bit cooler than normal, with the hottest periods in early June and early July. Rainfall will be below normal in the north and above normal in the south.

September and October will be much cooler and drier than normal.
