That was Reagan's famous theory of "trickle down economics" 30 years ago, where he promised it would raise the standard of living for the middle class an poor, when he started cutting taxes for the rich.

Our economy is imploding because there is not enough money circulating, in spite of trillions being larded in the corporate, personal, and arm's-length asset plans of the world's plutocrats.

For one thing, the payroll tax cuts come directly out of SS funding, which is already close to insolvency. For another thing, the GOP is only asking that there are spending cuts made some where else to compensate for the reduced payroll tax revenue. Last, the so-called "rich" pay more federal income taxes in a week than 47% of the country pays over the entire year.

You are full of shit. Fist of all, under Reagan per capita income rose across the entire spectrum of income brackets, especially among lower income minorities. The same thing was tru after the Bush tax cuts but to as great an extent. So you can compare that "trickle down" which actually has a track record of success to the "trickle up poverty we are seeing now, where more and more of the middle class are going under water. Socialism destroys the middle class, and the more it creeps intoi our society, the smaller our middle class will become. Socialist policy creates an elite class and a pauper class, there is no middle.
