***BREAKING8*** 5.8 EQ IN VIRGINIA...QUAKE!!!

earthquake in New Yor City ?? is it rue or is german media condusing this with the dc one!! RUN!!!

I live around Williamsport PA and it shook my house for a good 15 seconds. I have lived here 31 years and never felt an earthquake before.

A friend in Toronto just posted on his facebook that he felt it!

I work in Bethesda md top floor of an office bldg! Oh man!!!! The whole bldg swayed and shook!!

Fox news reporting it was a 6.0! Too bad congress and Pres was out of town. Could have shaken some sense into them.

There was the 5.8 VA one, and a 2.2 in Altamont, NY. We felt one of them in Poughkeepsie (nothing crazy though, felt it though...).

We shook for several seconds in Charlotte.

Where are the aftershocks?

I'm about an hour and 20 from Richmond, I felt it pretty good. It's rare here, so I thought a pipeline was about to explode or something. Glad it was just an EQ, as long as that was it. And not a foreshock. 5.8 though for here? Crazy.

My co-workers in Cincinnati, OH felt this as well.

Felt it here in Laurel, MD. It was strong enough that my lcd monitor almost felt over on my pc desk. I'm still feeling minor vibration/aftershocks.

Virginia Beach girl reporting in... I felt that thing.... it woke me from my fucking nap... wtf. Also THE ENTIRITY of Virginia Beach felt that as my facebook is reporting and various friends.

Also reporting in for Chesapeake - the Verizon cable guy that was at our house got some text from his friend there asking if he felt the Earthquake.

Just got off the phone with my daughter in NC, she said her office building was shaking!

Felt it on Long Island!!! Woo woo woo You know it!!

My husband felt it in downtown Dayton, OH. His building was evacuated.
