I used to say in the past not to worry about New Madrid, but as of today I would be very wary if I lived in that area. This is unprecedented and unexpected. I wouldn't be surprised if they set off New Madrid too. Sorry if this is too blunt for you.

We felt it in Eastern Tennessee. The floor was rolling.

so, el q- whats the timeframe of a foreshock, for those of us that dont live in the normal EQ zone.

Hey, ELQ, or anyone else, do you think that this could be some type of pressure of some sort, i may even go as far to say Elenin, that is causing these earthquakes to move across the earth from West to East.

The reason I say that is because the Colorado one was on the 37th degree longitude, as well as the recent Virginia one. This makes me consider the possibility that this could affect the canary islands off the coast of Africa, or maybe some other ones that are closer to the 37th. I'd love some feedback on this, thanks!
