weather channel just said that Rita will stall from Sunday pm till Wed pm, just sit and rain and rain and rain for three days, dumping inches and inches of rain, just west of the mississippi river

will the tributaries carry all that water to the river and back down through New Orleans?

even if it doesn´t this will not bode well for the new madrid fault area, water displacement
