An unmanned Russian supply ship bound for the International Space Station failed to reach its planned orbit Wednesday, and pieces of it fell in Siberia amid a thunderous explosion, officials said.

A brief statement from Roscosmos, Russia's space agency, did not specify whether the Progress supply ship that was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan had been lost. But the state news agency RIA Novosti quoted Alexander Borisov, head of a the Choisky region in Russia's Altai province, as saying pieces of the craft fell in his area some 1,500 kilometers (900 miles) northeast of the launch site.

"The explosion was so strong that for 100 kilometers (60 miles) glass almost flew out of the windows," he was quoted as saying. Borisov said there were no immediate reports of casualties.

What if everything and everyone they want to protect is in. Then they sealed the tunnel ends and left us all to fend for ourselves. They must think time is short.

This might be one way the tunnels were made using nuclear powered drill-heads that melt the rock and leave a smooth casing. No material needs to be removed behind the drill.

If this sound at the Florida ballpark was from a lot of air rushing in, or out, why did nobody report strong winds? Instead of hearing a vibration, you'd expect a gale blowing thru the ballpark.

Likewise with the quake sites and the alleged air vents, but those are not asserted to be near population and nobody says they heard noises from them afaik.

No they would not. Underground nukes are absorbed into the substrate and do not create an EMP. The only way to get an EMP with a nuke is to explode it above ground.

The 'Virginia Quake' was centered at 38° N, 78° W

Some times no matter how unlikely events may seem. They may still not be totally 'coincedence'.

The short of it is that nuclear explosions create a seismographic signature very different from those of natural earthquakes.

It was said to have been an unusually shallow quake. I don't really know how unusually this is, but the report I read said 0.6 mile.

To go with the explosion theory, why does it have to be a nuclear bomb per se? If someone had a lot of some sort of explosive, could it cause what was felt in Virginia?

The seismograph looks nothing like Volcanic, Tectonic, Earthquakes, nor 'surface events', nor 'harmonic tremor'

Compare those to the 'DC Quake'.

Its pretty darn clear what it looks most like. That and the location right at "Mount Weather", 'relocation site' for the highest level of civilian and military officials in case of national disaster.

I can never be sure, with this distance from the situation. But this looks like the real deal, as opposed to most stuff on these sites.
