antheist only make up 1% of prison population..christians 75%

Atheists are usually more intellectual therefore have a greater chance of thriving and of course this comes with less incentive to do crime.

I think its stupid to not believe in God though.

I tell the kids that all the time...it is a convience to be a atheist...or could it be that stupid people go to prison?

When you look at the demographics in prison it can be tricky. How many are black? How many are white? That's not too difficult. How many are gay? How many are gay because they want protection? How many are Christian? How many became christian in prison? How many claim to be Christian because religious books are the only literature they are allowed?

Look at it like this though; your in prison you are under constant threat of being beaten up, your hungry, scared. What is really going to comfort you. God, allah, who ever it may be. Its for comfort purposes not a fucking crusade.

People who believe in ants are weird to begin with.

A lot like the old saying there are no atheists in the foxhole. During especially hard or trying times it's natural for people to look for comfort of any kind.

While I don't really "doubt" that poll. I can guarantee you that at least 70% of those "christians", are mexican and black gangster "christians" who have crosses tattooed on their backs, and then they go out and rape women. Then then come back home smoke, curse, and have sex with random women. Then at the end of the day, they claim that the holy spirit is protecting them.

i'm indifferent to whether ants exist or not, nor do i pretend to know if they really do.

I'm guessing most, of course the second most of them get out they aren't going to change at all. Going to get out and immediately hook up with the old "homies" and start breaking more laws.

problem # 1 is your source. the link you provide references its source as being a youtube site. not the best known place.

next I found a more accurate source for the prison data..then compared it against US religion and the prison population mirrored the US population.

So yes Atheists make up a very SMALL percentage in prison and they are a VERY small percentage in the US population.

so based on your logic... blind people make up a small percentage of the prison population therefore blind people are smarter

Wackypedia says that united states have about 14% atheists and like 80% christian....

everyone gets put in prison via ones personal outlook in he or she's enduring culture diversity, where people gamble to live.

Being what I'd like to call a "smart" christian, I think faith
is much easier for "simpler minds".

Also, more intelligence means, less chance of getting caught. :P

I dont believe that most of them get religion when they get in so they can try to get out.

in germany we are about 35% atheist, 30% katholic, 30% evangelic, 5% muslim. there is also a difference in east and west. during the former gdr they told us the truth about the church and its crimes against human kind. so most of us hate em.

I knew many Christians, and many of them were scary about their "sins". But they did them all the time.
Me, not Christian, maybe naiv, but not bad, was amazed about their complicated way of life.... ;-)

If you've ever met any of these people you would know that many of them are the nicest people in the world. I find it funny though that some people on here will bash them for not buying into the very system they hate on all the time.
