Sorry to say it, But I think those people who have converted to Christianity in Prisons, Were most likely fake about the whole thing since most of the time they end up going right back in. Jeffrey Dalmer even claimed he converted to Christianity while he was in.

Or 75% of prisoners being Christian vs 80% of the population.

What about Muslims? 22% of Prisoners are Muslim vs less than 3% of the population.

If anything the OPs post is more informative in what it leaves out. That being that Muslims make up a HUGE portion of the prison population vs any other.

There are no atheists in foxholes. Or prisons. People who never thought of religion in their life start running around with bibles 24/7 once they get tossed in the joint. It is as much a part of prison culture as not dropping your soap in the shower.

the Lord does not make such special plans. People have to choose to raise themselves up. there is no other way, you grow your mind in wisdom so you can choose the will of God in every situation that confronts you on this world, or you don't.

No, a decent number of people that have been in and out of prison in their lives begin to appreciate how precious Life really is! Therefore, some of them are eventually lead to Christ because of being "humbled" by this world's hardships and their wrong choices. This explanation will only make sense to TRUE believers, though. Some probablly are fake Christians but it's also true outside of prisons, many claim to be but in their hearts aren't. You can tell by their actions , words and hypocracy. Until a person has 'it' in their hearts they just don't know what it's like to be a 'real' one.
