Is it true that all of the recycling deposits are just for show and it is all thrown in the trash...not really recycles/composted?

No, we do make sure to recycle and compost (as much as possible)

Really? Because gawker.com did a few articles about Whole Foods and many many employees wrote in saying they do exactly that. Also for a company that "cares" so much why do they not let anyone take home food at the end of the day, instead choosing to trash it all? Whole Foods is just a marketing ploy, sorry. Their food is great, but the whole Green! Community! stuff is BS in my opinion. I like Sprouts!

At my store we both Recycle/compost because if we don't we'll get nailed with a huge fine.

Also, team member's are given 25 cent stickers to put on expired items that they then take home (you have to spend 25 cents per item, it goes into a team member fund)

Do they favor blacks in hiring? I go in white areas and mainly see blacks working there. They also don't dominate the workforce in other stores in the area, so it isn't like no whites do that kind of work.

I don't believe the company has much say there, it's to the discretion of the hiring Team Leader...

on a side note, one of my best workers is black.

To be honest, i don't shop there...it honestly tastes better so special meals i will.

as a STORE TEAM LEADER you can make up to $55/hr

The only thing that has changed with that statement is the sellout mentality by these companies that start out to help people and point them on the right path, to now "changing" for the corporate greed and while the activists are kicked to the curb with non-support of such major issues in our food supply.

No, they don't care about that...it happens all the time.
