They are cute. Hard to not fall in love with them. Mama came last night and took two, the one that was really bad died, so it leaves one. Waited til 4 and she never came back for this one.

It's so much harder for a single one to make it when they leave, but am going to try again tonight if it doesn't storm and hope she comes for him. If she doesn't, maybe he'll be adopted by another family later when they come to eat. Hope, hope, hope.

Sure does make you realize that you ain't getting any younger when you do care of little ones. It's cut the time down considerably now though. Only takes about 20 min. for one. With all of them, it seemed like no sooner they'd all be fed and it was time to eat again. Thanks for your kind words, Mama.

So good to hear from you ! I bet you are so excited to see your family. I'm sure they have been missing you, your critters too! Glad your family and animals are safe after all that nasty weather. It is spring time and the storms keep rolling through here! We had that bad storm last weekend here in St. Louis that killed a man and hurt a lot outside of Busch stadium. The hail down the road about 20 minutes from here looked like baseballs. A lot of cars were damaged. We did not get anything like that here. Thank goodness.

Horse if fine, thanks for asking. He'd had a rough life before I got him and was foundered so he has some issues. Soon as he was in the stall, he never laid down again and I let him out again after a few days.

Was wondering if mama coon had stalked the horses and he just didn't want to come in. They make multiple dens when they have babies and maybe one was there. You'd think he'd have had sense enough to hang with the donkeys though. They don't put up with critters bothering them. Just don't know, but thanks for caring.

I LOL'D about the furry baby swaddled, and can't say it didn't cross my mind, but iffin I was caught, I'd be in big trouble and probably never be issued another wildlife permit.

No. It was the saddest thing ever. A coon came, ate watermelon and the baby shrieked.

The baby was in a cat carrier with rice filled wool socks for warmth. She went to the crate, looked, and went back to the melon. The baby was doing his little spider walk begging to be carried. (can't yet walk, just crawl) but when the coon was finished eating it left and poor baby was spider walking/crawling, trying to keep up.

I let the poor thing struggle as long as I could, but it was really cold, the coon didn't come back and if it was the mom and she was able, she'd have been there. So I went and got him.

Poor little guy snuggled up and started his happy purring and my heart melted. Dang.

Maybe it wasn't the mama, maybe she has more than she can care for, whatever the reason, baby is still here. So nice of you to care, Mama.

Got off to get evening chores done and got as far as feeding dogs when I remembered to tell you guys something.

There have been fourteen people sickened by salmonella after handling tainted dog food.

Five were hospitalized because of it. It's related to Diamond Pet Foods and the brands include:

Canidae, Natural Balance, Apex, Kirkland, Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul, Country Value, Diamond, Diamond Naturals, Premium Edge, Professional, 4Health and Taste of the Wild.

Maybe someone has posted it on the main and I missed it, but in case it hasn't been, tell your dog loving friends ......and wash your hands after handling dog food, especially before eating.

An Admin researched the questions, and here are the findings:

Tauranga closed out their own acct on the 1st, so it is history and the name cannot be reinstalled on any threads.

The only SUCCESSFULLY completed karma transaction recorded was one on the 5th by old guard. If other transactions were attempted, no karma was taken because they were not successful for one reason or another.

A good place to ask specific questions like this is in the

I posted another question asking if I upgrade 100 points does that give you a full membership or two trial memberships.

What would you prefer I do? I can wait till your trial is going to run out and then upgrade you the following month or I can add to what you have now for full upgrade this month.

Once I hear back from you and a mod I will know the options. I dont know why my upgrade wasnt sucessful, maybe you can only get one at a time or something.

Well the bad news is I cant do it. They said if I upgrade you now with 100 points it will add another month of trial upgrade and if I upgrade you now with 200 it will either kick it back again or it could extend your trial upgrade for two additional months. They said the best thing to do is wait until your upgrade is going to run out and then give you the full upgrade. I will be happy to do it, but you have to remind me about it when its almost due.

You can get any of us from this thread until we get you back up and running.
